Here's the same question asked on a tennis forum. Almost everyone picked FED and said golf isn't a sport. And said golf is like darts and chess. They were saying something about only winning once or twice a year. I don't think they understand how hard it is to win a golf tournament. Some guys only win one or two their whole career http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=340707

How many golf balls do you carry in your bag when you play?

3-6 balls usually don't loose any. I throw them away after a round or two when they get worn out. -
Launch Monitor. Do they really work?

Over here it is 35$ a session. But if you buy a club that day, they wave the fee. You don't have to buy a driver either. It can be any club. I'm sure if you know someone that works at a golf store, they will let you hit it for free during a slow time of the day. -
par 5's then par 4's then par 3's

I think it does count. There are two categories. Under 100 and over 100. Or there is two categories for accuracy. GIR% and over 100 yards distance to pin.

haven't used them, but i think reviews say they have a lot of spin. More than the pro v1. I have switched from prov1's to taylormade TP Reds. -
The short game on mine is horrible. It is only like a 4/10. The rest of my stats are like 10 or 11's. I don't get it. I don't know if this affect my game play at all though? On the tiger challenges i'm up to vijay. Hopefully this weekend i can beat tiger and get some nice clubs.

At the country club i play at, they allows 5 somes. On the weekdays you can play 6somes if you wanted. But if it was a public course, i would say hell no to 5 somes. Takes forever as it is.

I remember trying out for my high school golf team. I was really nervous. Shot probably a 45 on 9 holes. Found out it was the 2nd best score. This was the first year my high school had a golf team and i was a freshman. Continued to improve and moved to number 1. I really didn't like being number 1 so my coach moved me to the 2nd spot. Felt more comfortable. My school was small about 600 kids total so there weren't many players on the team. Maybe 9 or so. I know the bigger schools around me were more competitive about golf. Their players would shoot even par. K i'll stop rambling.

I'm going to go buy this game next tuesday. :D

If there is 5 of us, we'll play wolf. If there is 4 or 6 of us, we'll play vegas. Gotta love 3 digit vegas. Definition: Las Vegas is a betting game for two teams of two players each. Winnings and losings can add up quickly in Las Vegas, so it's a game preferred by better - and wealthier - players. In Las Vegas, each 2-person team plays for a team score on each hole. But it's not a normal team score. The team members' scores are not combined; rather, they are paired: Player A gets a 4, Player B gets a 5. The team score is not 9, it's 45 (the lower number goes first). If both players get 4s, that's 44; if one gets an 8 and the other gets a 3, that's 38. The team score represents the number of points each team earns per hole. Points are tracked throughout the round and the differential is paid off at the end of the round. A single-hole example: Team A scores 4 and 5 for a 45; Team B scores 5 and 6 for a 56; the difference is 11 points. Points can be worth any amount. Low-rollers should only play for nickels and dimes. Las Vegas is often played for a dollar per point, and it adds up quickly at that level. And if your foursome is "flipping the bird," the money can really start to change hands. When employing this rule, a team that makes a birdie and wins the hole can flip the other team's score for that hole. So instead of the low number going first, the high number goes first. The opponent's 5 and 6 wouldn't be 56, but 65. One safeguard: If one player scores 10 or more, that team's score uses the high number first. So a 3 and a 10 is 103, not 310

i keep track of how much above par i am.

i drove a 270 yard par 4. Ball was about 20 feet past the pin so it had a chance. Another close one was on a par 5. Had about 230 for my 2nd shot. Hit it thin and rolled on to the green and a few feet next to the pin. Those have been my only close chances.

I can play on the 9th in the morning if you would like.

I got the Ping Latitude. Love it

I have never been there. 2nd time coming to reno for hot august nights. On thursday i think i'll play at Red Hawk or D'Andrea. They are near sparks where the car show is at. Arrowcreek looks nice but is it private? I might play friday also. I guess i can't make a Tee time because it is only me playing. Do you know if i'll have to wait a long time to get on the course?
