Golf balls......where do you get them online?
ToddziLLa replied to zrlaegel's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
^^^ Can't recommend them enough. -
I'm a ranger at a very nice public golf course. I work only on Saturdays as it is not my career. I'm in the minority as I'm not a high school or college kid, and not retired! Free golf including cart for me and a guest whenever there's a spot open. Cost + 10% on equipment, clothes, gear, clubs, etc. Half off food in the clubhouse. Free range balls.

I have a dozen AAAAA on the way from LostGolfBalls. Can't wait to try them!

I currently have a TaylorMade Burner driver with a regular shaft as I have a slower swing speed. I use my friend's TaylorMade Burner 3-wood with a stiff shaft, have demoed the R9 with a stiff shaft, and every once in awhile hit a few drives with the Callaway FT-9 with a stiff shaft that my boss owns, and hit all of them fairly well with good feel. I have gotten much better from last year, and have played a LOT more golf this year, and I know my swing speed has increased, but still nowhere near the "fast" swing speed that I have always thought constituted a stiff shaft. What I'm getting at is I hit my regular flex stuff good, and from what I have hit so far of the clubs with stiff shafts, hit those well too. What are your thoughts on stiff vs. regular for someone with a slower swing speed? I'm guessing I should go get fitted to actually see what my swing speed is.

TaylorMade 09 Burner vs. 07 Burner vs. R9 460 Drivers
ToddziLLa replied to NO HYPE's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Good thread, would love to see more thoughts on this. I currently hit the '07 Burner which I love, but the adjustability and price of the R9 460 does appeal to me. I hit the R9 460 at Golf Galaxy but couldn't get a good feel for it when the ball only travels 15 feet in front of you. My buddy hits the '09 Burner and KILLS it, but he kills everything, lol. I'm thinking the R9 460 will be a good investment, especially as I develop my swing. -
Had a great round this weekend guys, and just had to tell you all about it. A buddy of mine and myself played 18 at The Phoenix Golf Links in Columbus, Ohio over the weekend. My largest goal of the year was achieved - I broke 100! Might seem funny to some, but coming from an absolute hack last year to under 100 this year is really big to me. Had 101, 103s, etc. on semi-difficult courses before, but never broke the century mark. I shot 49-49 which also met my other big goal - break 50 on nine - and I did it twice! On the par 5 #8, I also had my second birdie ever! Great drive, great 3-wood, and ran my 7-iron up to 4-feet and sank the putt. Was great to put a circle on the scorecard! My buddy also had an eagle for the second weekend in a row. Long par 4, killed his drive, and sank his 7-iron from 185 yards out. Bounce, bounce, bounce, DUNK! Was awesome to witness. We've both had chip-ins before, but from 185 out it was crazy! My index also just dropped to 29.2 which was another goal of mine to break 30! Just had to gleam for a bit guys, thanks!!

I'm thinking of getting a couple dozen e6+ to help with my slice. You ever play out at Sweetbriar?

TaylorMade Burner Rescue - Question
ToddziLLa replied to ToddziLLa's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
No offense taken, that is why I was asking! You are right...per nine I am between 50 and 55. I guess there's a reason why the 2 hybrid isn't that popular! I hit my 3-iron pretty well 70% of the time I'd day. It's actual handicap. :D Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I'll go hit the 3 and see how it feels. I'm looking for something forgiving and versatile. Sounds like the 2 will NOT be the way to go. -
Hello all, Right now I have nothing distance-wise between my driver and 3-iron. I went through the GD Gold List and decided on the new TaylorMade Burner Rescue. What's your opinion of these clubs? The writeup says they are forgiving and have a slight draw bias, which will help me. My question is: do I get the 2 or 3 hybrid? My first thought is why not get the 2 -- it will be longer right? Just looking for some thoughts before I pull the trigger. Thanks!

I have the Sabertooth and love it! It lines me up SO much better than my old putter. When you are looking down at the putt your eyes just follow the fangs right into the hole. Feels great too!

Just saw Jeff Garcia and his wife Carmella Decesare at my club in Cleveland on Saturday. He golfed a round, then met his wife, kid, and some other apparent family members for lunch at the clubhouse.

The best value course in Cleveland IMO. Make sure to try the Legacy 18!

Great swing so far! You have great shoulder movement and weight transfer.

How many golf balls do you carry in your bag when you play?
ToddziLLa replied to titaniummd's topic in Golf Talk
About 8, then another dozen or so range balls in case it's a really bad round. -
http://www.SweetbriarGolfClub.com Best public golf on the west side of Cleveland IMO. The value that their Legacy 18 has can't be matched!
