Not really - it's never been a massive priority piece of mine and whenever it has been, it's always been with a focus on ensuring that I still get my weight through whilst working on something different. A lot of recent range work has been 1/2 swings with core engaged through impact, which I guess is similar, but definitely not the same thing. As ever though, start small and build up I think I've seen Erik do a good Key 2 Hips Preset drill before now which made sense to me - think it should come up if you search that on YouTube...

Don't worry so much about instant results if you know you're focusing on the right things. I've had range sessions filled with shanks and one where I spent the entire hour hitting 7 iron chip shots trying to hook the ball - it's the end goal that matters. With the iphone, I'd recommend you get a cheap tripod that will clip to your bag. Then stand that behind you and off you go. Getting the angles right and getting used to properly filming your swing is one of the best things you can learn to do. Hi and welcome to the forum. First off, there are numerous better players or instructors who will be able to offer an opinion than me, but the one thing that leaps out for me is how little you get your weight forward at impact, which is one of the main causes of slicing that we see a lot. It helps if you're hitting a ball as well as we tend to change our swings slightly when we know the ball's movement depends on what we do. As a brief comparison of impact positions even with my (utterly imperfect) swing in the middle and on the far right, Justin Rose, you can see the difference in how much we get our weight through the ball and the difference in hip position: Point of including me is to show that amateurs need to do this as well . There'll be people far better placed to explain why this is important (I just listen to my instructors and work on the major things they suggest), but getting your weight forward through impact makes it so much easier to hit out at the ball rather than cutting across it as you are, which is causing the slice. I'd recommend any and all of the videos on weight forward that Erik has done: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=key+2+weight+forward

I'd agree with this. As someone who really struggles with this move and consequently launches the ball very low, I think the left leg movement is good! As you know, the issue is getting the weight through the ball, which will change how this looks a little - keep grinding!

Hi, Well done for taking the plunge and putting a swing up. First step is to help us to help you by getting the camera angles right (otherwise it's kind of guesswork), so please read this: http://thesandtrap.com/b/playing_tips/filming_your_swing For what it's worth, the swing looks very 'arms driven' to me and I'd look at your rotation through the ball trying to feel like you get really open at impact with your weight forward. But, like I say, better camera angles will help . Keep us posted!

Yep - a poor substitution from Southgate in bringing on Dier and being too defensive didn't help. Great match last night and loved seeing Belgium win but show quite a few weaknesses at the same time. Such an open tournament!

Always like watching your videos of your sessions and how you focus on process rather than immediate outcome. Great message

Very similar to the Yes! V-Easy from the looks of things? Main difference is that this properly attaches to the shaft: https://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Yes-Golf-V-Easy-Training/dp/B009YECFKQ Looks really useful - I've had a lot of good things come from the Yes training aid, so can see this helping a lot of people as well.

Just hit the summer holidays and have finally looked at my swing on camera for the first time in ages after the battery died. There's a lot of work to be done...! Club path was getting as bad as 4 degrees out to in, which was causing a lot of horrible pulls and slices - I've just about been able to get them back to target, but it's been low and not pretty. I worked on it all a lot on the range today and started just with chipping strokes for half an hour, which really helped. The good thing is that, having worked with online instruction over the last three years, I can pretty much identify my usual pieces to check up on. So, I focused on those for a couple of hours to get the old feelings back, got the higher flight and by the end had a nice straight draw with everything bar driver. Checklist on the range is currently: 1) Takeaway feels more hands inside, club outside 2) Feel like I stop at shoulder height, with right arm feeling dead straight at A4 3) Then really engage core on the way through, whilst feeling like hands are exiting above the belt buckle. Now where have I heard all of this before...?! Good news though and I'm looking forward to getting back to the grind,

So, at this point, predict the winning score. My bet would be +3 at this point in time

Yep, it folded a year or so back and combined with when he was right at the bottom with his game. He has come a long way back from where he was!

I genuinely had no problem with any other aspect of Chambers and quite liked the course.

Maybe, but it won't be to do with greens that were bobbling ridiculously from 6 feet putts. They aren't perfect, but they aren't close to Chambers level unplayable.

For me, the difference between a rules breach and cheating is intent - that rule is designed for when the ball moves as you're making a stroke, or similar unintentional breaches (I believe). The moment that he said he intentionally hit the ball to stop it going down off the front and that he knew he'd probably make a better score, that is cheating. There are rules the USGA can use to DQ him if they want.

Zach Johnson claiming they've 'lost the course'. I disagree from what we're looking at - miles away from the farce at Chambers Bay.

Based on that interview, that feels like it should be a DQ. I know what the rules are and I get taking what you can, but that, to my mind, feels like cheating. Certainly can't be the explanation that the USGA were hoping for. Otherwise, DJ bringing everyone else back.

Unreal from Ben An. We'll look past the annoying two drops (annoying in that we never get them) They are just very, very good. That flop shot is a must on tour given how often they short side themselves. Oh, and their rough is way worse than ours, so he'd be better on our courses. P.S. Damnit Bryson.
-
Well, my hopes are now all with Ben An then.
-
Probably not happening, but I really want them all to make 5 now
-
Could see Ben An taking it from the positions they're in now Wow... That could have been the most amazing par.

One of those where you felt it was coming from the moment he changed his mind from driver from his first attempt to 3 wood.
-
Both of his putts were terrible. First was nowhere near where it should have been and you just can't miss the second one low...
-
Love a playoff. Kyle Stanley deserved another shot after that bad break.

Great advert for a final group of 3 rather than pairs today. The last group has been great fun to watch.
-
His wedge game has been scary good though - can't remember the last time I saw someone play this well with the short clubs.
