Adams Fairway Woods
Sante TwoGloves replied to Justin Harrow's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Awesome. Love my Adams driver, woods, and hybrid. A handful of years old but they have improved my distances greatly. -
Walk as often as you can for as long as you can as long as it doesn't affect your play. great exercise. someday you will be old and sickly like me and riding may be your only option. I hope to use a pullcart later in the year at an executive course. i am only 5-10 minutes from my car no matter which hole i peter out on.

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering the same thing, how many clubs go you play with and if you play with 5 or 6 less would your scoring get worse do you think? I plan on playing only eight the rest of this season starting Monday and I think I am going to score better. Im too optimistic sometimes though.:-)

Good Idea to Make Practice Swings with No Ball
Sante TwoGloves replied to stealthhwk's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
a good drill is to swing your club back and forth about 2 feet above the ground over and over. it helps take away concentrating on the ball while learning to turn your body, keeping those arms loose and limber, and making those weight transfers. your ball then just gets in the way of your swing when you go live. -
I hope to play every two weeks until the snow covers the courses or temps go below 40. One executive course in the area used to be open year round. No carts. $5 in the mail slot at the clubhouse and play all day if you want. Not sure if they still do that. Find out probably in nov or dec when the doors close for the season.

have you tried transverse friction massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and chiropractic elbow manipulations? these treatments have helped many people I know with similar problems.

Major putting help that Men may want to consider
Sante TwoGloves replied to metaswinger's topic in The Grill Room
i thought i read on here not too long ago someone suggesting to right handed men to line up there drivers and woods with the left testicle, and all other clubs with the right. hmmm.. -
do you see an increase with your other clubs through the year? how often do you have to dial in your distances during a golf season?
-
I Forgot to add you could choke down on your driver some for that long par 3. It will shorten your distance.

That's cool. I got rid of my 7 wood because I didn't hit it as well. Leaked to the left for me swinging left-handed. It was a cheap club with a steel shaft. My hybrid is graphite. If I see 7 wood graphite somewhere along my travels I will get it. I liked the higher trajectory I was getting better with my hybrid too. -
You can find out your grip size here http://www.golfpride.com/fit/ Where your fingers touch when you close your grip on the club. If your grip size is too small your fingers will dig in too much. Too big and they won't reach.

I have never been part of a league. I like to spent my money playing as many different courses I can. Many of the avid golfers I know play in 2,3, even more leagues. Just wondering how many here do that as well and was curious if you see much difference in your hcp from league to league and why do you think if you do?

Most greens have more trouble in the front than back. Hit the driver. Or maybe a 3 wood?

Still working out the final club. Just read that with firm or wet sand it is better to use a wedge with less bounce like with most gap or lob wedges. The sand wedges I have have very high bounce. Mid October I am thinking the sand will be firm. it is right now from what I heard. I need to work with my wedges some. I hit them all equally bad. If the sand is indeed firm and a low bounce wedge is best couldn't I just use my pitching wedge or will that dig too much? I have a LH Pw, LH Sw, Rh Pw, Rh sw, Rh gw. Which two do you think I should take? Thanks for the help.

My 150 club used to be my 7 iron. Now not so sure. Switched from steel to graphite recently and hitting my irons longer. Before this year I was swinging Cleveland vas irons that have a very big offset. Reviews on them say they are 1 to 1 1/2 club shorter than most other irons. I had distance issues with them too. Technique maybe. Could be your equipment too. I'd hit your friends clubs or go test some at golf galaxy somewhere. you may notice a big change too with club change.

Wouldn't cost too much to Regrip it if the grip is too small or too big for your hand. There are charts on the web to measure and see where you are. Do your finger tips just barely touch your thumb pad when you grip the top hand?

i play when play is light usually Saturday and Monday afternoons. i havent had to wait all year. many times we have had the course all to ourselves. we got a ton of courses where i live so maybe that is why. i wont even attempt a sunday. too crowded.

Do you wear golf shoes? Are they really needed?
Sante TwoGloves replied to Sante TwoGloves's topic in Golf Talk
speaking of golf shoes, 75% off today at golf galaxy as part of their labor day special. -
cool. you're probably right on that. my normal game can get complicated though like which way to swing. lol any dogleg rights i am using my 5w, any dogleg lefts i am using my driver, etc. but i am one of the people here who still hasnt read LOWEST SCORE WINS. i was hoping that people that navigate around the course using principles from the book might get more detailed with it. i guess i need to get the book. :)

i agree. the 7 w and 4i hybrid are usually about the same loft. i decided on the hybrid because it is a better rescue club.
