Well it depends on a couple things really. First, do you hit the 60* consistent. Second, do you have a 52* or 50* wedge, or is the next closest a pitching wedge? A lot of times people will bend their wedges to get a consistent gap. I.E. 47 pitch, 53*, and 59*.
I am the opposite. I do like my 3 wood, however I can hit any shot with my 19* hybrid. It's a TM rescue dual with the movable weights. It will be hard to knock this out of the bag.
Tiger owes the public nothing except living up to the title of the world's best golfer. And, I think Iacas got it right that Tiger isn't out to "please" anybody (fans). He's there to win golf tournaments. Also, while I am a huge Mickelson fan, I wouldn't mind seeing the 2 best players battle it out...again.
If you're talking about Bebb, he put up an 11 on #18. It was the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Here, take a look at the scores on #18:

If I'm having a bad driving day, I'll take out my PW and make some nice controlled swings really focusing on my tempo before my next drive. After about 3 or 4 of these swings, I can usually pull out the driver with good results. You might be "trying to hard," if that makes sense.
To sum up the paragraph from the book you quoted: "And here's the news about The Best Players You Know: They're shit. Scratch is shit. The Best Players You Know simply cannot play."
Harsh, but true.

The reason is because the set up at address inspires so much confidence, whether hitting a punch draw or a high cut. Also, the feel of a well struck blade is amazing. I play the game for fun so whatever club helps me have fun, I'm buying.
Had mine done 1.5 years ago. My procedure was a joke. No complications and like someone said before the painkillers were more fun than function. All I can say is rinse thoroughly and often.
I've tried on quite a few pairs and these seemed to feel the best right out of the box. I really didn't need any break in time, they still feel great and are holding up well.
I saw him at the BMW on Sunday. He stopped by the crowds of people around the steps to go into the clubhouse to sign autographs and talk with the people. Seemed like a really nice guy!
Sound exactly like a story I have. I was playing a country club course with a buddy who works there and a few other friends. I was making a complete mess of a par 4, put it in the water off the tee, then dropped and hit a pretty chunky shot into the fairway. Told the guys (who put there shots on in regulation) to head up and I'd "eventually" make it up there. Holed out from about 140 to save par, while they were standing on the side of the green to watch it one-hop into the hole.
Take it one shot at a time. Once you pick your club and step up to the ball, commit to that shot and think nothing else, but sticking it tight. Also, like I've said in other posts, a good short game is crucial for scoring well.
