  1. Ebay. If you want I have a Taylor Made 320 ti head in 8.5 loft I'll give you. Just pay whatever it cost to ship on the slow boat and it's yours.
  2. He doesn't even need to buy a new one, he still has his Walmart one that works in the garage! To OP: Sell it, buy a round of golf.
  3. Did you like the factory grip? If so, you can replace it with just about any standard size rubber grip. The difference between thick and thin is just that, some are thicker than others. TM factory grips fall more on the thin side. Now for the burning question: How does one rip a grip?
  4. That is really, really cool! Is that all photoshopped, or did you take a picture of a picture of a picture? And like I hear all the time, thank God she looks like her Mother!
  5. Did you try it out before you bought it? How was it during the first two weeks you used it? Putting is 90% mental and 10% mental....
  6. Here's my favorite....
  7. Love the Hawaii thing! I'm envious. My artistic talent is zero.
  8. I just recently did exactly that! I replaced my old Callaway 3 wood, with a new Ping 4 wood. It flies just as far as the old 3, but gives more "love" on the mishits. (of which I have many) I had tried my friends G10 3 wood, and my other buddies G10 5 wood and liked them both. The 4 wood was the perfect compromise. Ain't technology grand?
  9. I didn't vote either way. I don't see how dress codes can be good or bad for the game. I've played at some of the best tracks on the planet, and also some of the worst. I've dressed "appropriately" for each venue. Many, many times I've teed it up in a T shirt and cargo shorts. In the winter months, I've worn jeans and 6 layers of clothes. Unless you watched me get dressed, you would have no idea whether or not there was a collar under there. I've also own several golf "outfits" that look impeccable Would I show up at Oakmont with my Led Zeppilen T shirt and cut off jeans? Absolutely not! Have I played Oakmont East* in that type of get up? Absolutely! It's not right to judge a person by their clothing. You never know who's wearing what. To say that someone respects the game more, based on shirt size is ludicrous. *sadly Oakmont East was close in 2007 for the US Open. The rerouted it into a 9 hole private course owned by Oakmont CC. It was maintained by Oakmont and had the best greens ever found at a public course. Last time I played it, I wore dockers...
  10. This game makes no sense... I feel like I'm playing better than ever yet my scores and handicap have gone up again... There's really no need to fret about it though, I mean in the whole scheme of things, who really cares? As long as I get a greenie here or there, maybe a skin, and win a couple of Nassaus.... I don't mind shooting bad, but I hate getting skunked!

    Walkers??

Sounds like dehydration to me. I hope you're feeling OK by now. I remember my coach from middle school football... "drink before you're thirsty". Mid afternoon is the Texas heat can suck the life right out of you! I know when we play in Las Vegas, you can tell how much water your body is sucking in when you drink 4 gallons and you pee a pint....and that pint looks fluorescent! Good luck!
  12. Use whatever works best for YOU. It took most of us a long time with lots of trial and error to make up a set that fits OUR needs. You'll find your equipment is an evolving entity, just when you think it's all set, you'll find that one club that just does it a little better. Personally, I've never met a hybrid I like. That doesn't mean hybrids are bad, just not right for me (right now). Wonder what Kenny would think of my 11 wood? Actually, I couldn't care less. It's never how and always how many in this game. I've probably won enough money with my 11 wood (and 7 wood) to buy a Hyundai. I love picking up the greenie money from the macho 3 iron hitting boys. "11 wood? That's an old man's club...." "Shut up and pay the geezer."
  13. Are there any local country clubs that you could be a caddy? You get to play free on Mondays! (plus all the nice balls you can hawk) When I was a kid, we used to play blackjack for dimes while waiting for the caddy master to call out our number. There were many days I made more in dimes than in caddy fees. After a while, I wouldn't even sign up to caddy, I would just deal cards. I would be back home by 10 with a pocketful of loot thinking Am I glad these these idiots don't hit a 14 when I have a 9 up... But I digress... you can play free on Mondays!
  14. Sharpro are not knockoff anything. The company (Sharpro) actually makes many "name brand" grips for the OEM's. You may be playing them right now and not know it. They are quality grips. As good and as long lasting as just about anything on the market. You could pay more, but why? I've used them on my clubs for years. http://www.sharprogrips.com/index.html Buying tip: You can find them on Overstock for less than that auction. Look for an Overstock coupon too....
  15. $209.95 + Shipping HERE
  16. Gee. I wonder why he was a single.....
  17. . Yes. It's a safety thing. You have to be careful especially with grips that have been on there awhile. They will inflate quickly and pop, er, I mean, POP . Once an old grip cracks or breaks you will need to remove it the old fashioned way. You could use just about anything tubular for the safety sleeve. One of those tubes they used to use to divide golf bags would be perfect. Whatever you use for a sleeve, use. The beauty of this method is that you can practice again and again with the same grip. Once you get the rhythm down, it will take you longer to affix the club in the vice than it will take you to do the regripping.
  18. I dropped an Email to the puttingtool company. Here is their response,, Hi, I have a few questions. Is the shield type made of metal or plastic? Also, are the lines painted on, or are they also scored into the material? Thanks All models are made of iron alloy and will adhere to a magnet.... lines are molded in and paint fill is used only for yellow and red areas.... You cannot damage this product thicker and more durable than a U.S. quarter .... look forward to your order... thank you.... Puttingtool.com .... Jeffrey Williams Owner
  19. Here's the video. There is no need to buy this "kit". All you need is the rubber coned tip on the air gun that comes with your compressor. You will also need a safety hose so the old grip doesn't over inflate when removing it. I use a piece of hose from the pool. 6 foot sections are about $4 at any pool store. I also dip about 3 inches of the open end of the new grip in soapy water to facilitate & give it enough lubrication to slip on easily. To adjust the grip after installation, just give it a puff and a twist. It's almost too easy.
  20. Never knew that happened. That's freaking funny!
  21. Welcome to the club!
  22. For the record, I think this type of device makes perfect sense. I don't know who invented it, nor do I care. If one came out only a year before the other, then how on earth can you tell who was really first? Did Cameron invent it? I dunno, my 15 year old Ping anser look an awful lot like a lot of Scotty's putters... I'll bet he never even saw a Ping before crafting his newports... My point is that there are other comparable devices on the market. And if it takes off, there will be many more. To insist that one widget is better than another simply because it costs more makes no sense. Especially if you've never even seen or touched the one that's being knocked. I'm glad you're satisfied with your device. I hope you never two putt again. cheers.
  23. Oh yeah, I saw that Ebay one. I think the shipping was $5. At the site it's $15 with free shipping so either way it's $15.
  24. Yes. As long as he also wore long pants over top of the shorts.
  25. According to the site, this guy had his tool approved by the USGA in 2007. Cameron's tool came out in 2008. Which brings to mind the question....Who ripped off the idea from who?
