  1. Kinda fun when your misses are air-mailed greens, huh? Nothing like picking up distance to make you feel better about your game.
  2. Erik J. and Dave W...happy to report that I finally "got it" at the range yesterday, thanks to a combination of your forums and vids...thanks fellas!! I never realized I was spinning my hips around on the downswing, instead of bumping the left hip laterally, toward the target. My new swing thought is....bump that left hip, and visualize keeping my rear hip pocket facing behind me, just like at address....once I stopped swiveling my hips around, lo and behold, my swing and footwork looks just like the Mike Bennet model...way easier to keep the arms together, stretch the back out and my rear foot doesn't spin out now...follow through is much easier to keep on S/T model too...ALL of this was because I was trying to TURN the hips like the classic swing model, instead of getting linear in my approach....can't say thanks enough guys!!
  3. Thanks for posting JP's video...can't wait to get to the range with those swing images...awesome t-shirt too.
  4. Their ball flight is just awesome to watch in person...funniest thing is how short alot of these guys are...KJ Choi looked like he could walk upright under a footstool when I saw him...Mike Weir could fit in your shirt pocket.
  5. Outstanding...nice recap too...I call next!

    Smoking!

Lumpy...waddling up the fairway, blowing a heater, dreaming of tapioca pudding....he was a sight to behold...
  7. Harrington's definitely slow...been put on the clock plenty of times. The announcers of last week's tournament made a point of saying this, but other guys still love him as a partner because of the easy-going attitude. Not sure I could finish a round with Furyk or Crane.
  8. Leeds: I carry a Cobra Speed driver 10.5 degrees loft too...Adilda shaft, etc...bought off the rack at Golfsmith..I recently had some new irons made at a custom shop, and the guy checked lofts and shafts on on all my old clubs...turns out my Cobra driver had 13.5 degrees loft and a Regular instead of Stiff shaft..this helped explain my higher than normal drives too...but I also noticed I was flipping my left wrist up at impact too...could only see it on slowed down video...I'm betting you're a combination of both..get your swing on video, you'll see
  9. Thanks Erik...will do.
  10. Took my first S/T lesson this week and when we reviewed the pix, I was flipping at impact...having tough time holding the flying wedge....also having a tough time keeping left arm straight in the follow through sequence...my elbow was apparently bending too much....any suggestions?
  11. Good stuff...anyone else?
  12. WAIT just a minute...you're telling us you've heard of Japanese tourists taking lots of pictures...I don't believe it for a second!
  13. Seems like a "Southern thing", all this dipping and chewing. I'm from NJ, went to Va. Tech, and half the guys in my fraternity would use dip....Don't see it as much up here in the Philadelphia area. Anyone else?
  14. Thanks B-Con...
  15. Does anyone know: 1) When using range balls in good condition, clearly marked Range Ball...are these balls "harder" than normal balls? 2)How much distance do you lose when hitting in 40 degree F weather? I bought new irons this winter and would love to know my real "summer distance"
  16. Thanks Erik...will stick to my traditional method, and thanks again to you boys for getting me involved in S/T!
  17. Question for Eric or any of the other S/T afficianados...I've been using this method since this Fall, to great success, but only at the range, as I live in the snowy Northeast. Am very anxious to take this to the course; does S/T work out of green-side bunkers?
  18. Enough with the "He should have hit the embedded lie." Watch it again, the ball was unplayable, period. Whiners Blake and Perez need to go; Can't believe how awful Erdman has been...how can he seriously go back to "teaching golf" with that awful swing?
  19. Thanks for the heads up Iacas...just pre-ordered mine on Amazon.
  20. Playing at 5 Ponds Golf Course in Warminster, PA this August. Joined by 2 Korean gentlemen who don't speak English, but very enthusiastically took their 30plus handicaps to the back tees. Around the 11th hole, I'm replacing my clubs in the back of my cart, and they come tearing up, smash into me with their cart at full speed, almost knocking me out. My head bounced between the 2 carts; really rang my bell. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry, as the kept saying, "We take you to hoppy-tall?"
  21. Let's see, out of the billions of people in world, I've made it into the top 150 in my profession. Yes, we are paid hansomely, but certainly no more than other professional athletes, in fact, most of us make far less. Sure, I have no problem attending MY sponsors functions, as we have a business arrangement. However, being forced to sit through a 4 hour dinner next to old Johnnie Walker breath, and his wife Handsy McGee, is just too much. That's what pro-ams are for.
  22. How about I give you one of the WORST movies ever made that happens to be about golf: Caddyshack II..I'd still like to punch Jackie Mason in the mouth for that heap of crap!
