well maybe longer than 4 footers but i sometimes just cant see the slightest break. like instead of hitting the right edge of the cup i go for the left and it breaks away left.... and i thought it was going to go right lol.
-
maybe its my vision but lately i've been having trouble reading greens. i've been missing 4 footers by a cup here and there because i see the wrong break!!! its killing me!!!!! any advice? what do you all do when reading break? thanks in advance

Graphite Design Aura RED or Alidla NV 65?
Eric19 replied to enis750's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i recently reshafted my driver... i went with the aldila NVS 65 Stiff. 3.6 torque. even when i crank on it, it holds very well. -

well lets just say when i was 16 i was a skinny little kid still. i played baseball my whole life so i was always in shape but was never really a big power hitter, but as i grew i got a bit stronger and added distance to my baseball game. same goes for my golf game, and im sure as you get bigger and stronger you will add distance to all of your clubs. so layups may become less and less in your game. BUT!!!! as long as you play to your skill/own game, keep at it man! personally i need to lay up more instead of going for everything and playing to the weakness of my game which is 60-70 yards from the green. anyway im rambling you are young and the distance will come. trust me as long as you have the athletic ability you can perfect your game, but at the same time it sounds like you are doing the right thing already

same here.... even the slightest jerk of your eyes off the ball screws everything
-
haha exactly what my dad would do! yeah i'll prob just work on my 3 wood and pick up a 5 wood.

when you bring your clubs and shoes everywhere you go.... just incase

i hit the taylormade burner 2H 18* and the callaway ft 18* today actually and between those two i loved the callaway. great feel and overall control
-
ok so this might be a noob question but for the average player what kind of difference in distance would one see with a 3 wood to say...a 2I (hybrid). its about a 2* difference well in my case it would be.... i've just been having problems hitting my 3 wood accuratley and i hit some 2I hybrids today and i must say they are fun to hit. on the other hand i think i should just man up and hit my 3 wood better and add a 5 wood before i go with a hybrid, mostly because i feel like an old man using hybrids. (im 22) hehe. but i cant dis these hybrid clubs because they are very nice. thoughts....? suggestions...? what would/have you guys/gals done?

i was very happy with the control and overall durability of the nike (one black) dont know if that helps but i was impressed. i usually get the same result as you do with the pro v's but when i used the nike it didn't seem to chip/lose paint/or flake

this is prob bad but i drink at least 2 a day. lol that stuff is amazing
-
1-2 times a week. plus i mix in the range 1-2 times a week. trying to get into the 70's!
-
yeah i def want to hit a 52* and see what kind of shots i can make. PW to 58* is a huge difference i know lol but i was just curious if i could compinsate a tad by a full swing. obviously i have trouble with that so what i get from these replies is: 1.play to strong yardages 2.use a club that can be effective with the swing that i am comfortable with.
-
22 here. just started playing seriously may of 09
-
wow i never really thought of it like that. cut out the short game until you putt lol. i will def. try this my next round. thanks for the tip
-
kinda what i figured... but is it uncommon to have trouble hitting a 58* with a full swing or am i just crazy? thanks clubchamp
-
hey everyone im new here!! just thought i'd get that out there... ok, i have a 58* wedge that i use for my 30 yard or less shots... i can hit it about 60 to 70 yards at the range, but have the hardest time hitting that club with a full swing. (full swing with this club is horrible!!) its prob just poor mechanics or lack of eye on ball. some of my shots that are in between clubs are killing me! ex: PW is too much club and 58* is not enough club( but if i could hit my 58* with a full swing it would be perfect). so my question is: should a get another wedge say.... 54* 52* for those in between shots? thanks for any advice
