  1. I think you can figure out pretty easy what style you have. Just putt with a piece of wood right next to the ball and see if you hit it. Degrees of loft have very little difference since you should be de-lofting it anyway with a forward shaft lean. So, standard is near a one-size fit all. And insert vs non-insert depends on your feel, no fitting can tell you this. You might want to look into the weight of the putter, as I find this to be a huge factor.
  2. Carbon is much softer when talking about putters, so it would still apply towards irons, but just not as much. BTW.. I would go with the MPs.
  3. A camera will help you for a long time. But, depends on how you learn. When I do take a lesson I will make sure it is with someone hands-on. I want them to put me in the positions needed, that way I can feel the way it should be done. Too many instructors just keep a distance and repeat themselves. A camera however can show you what you are doing, therefore you can see where you are in each position. Not to mention you can send those videos in to be analyzed, or just try it yourself.
  4. Crazy amount, at least whoever buys it will make a profit, but it is gonna take a longgggg time to do it.
  5. Ok, I have gone full blown S&T; as I just feel that I am hitting more proper swings with more consistency. I have my hands deep and on or below the swing plane, but I am having trouble getting the club shaft on or below plane. I think it is due to trying to deepen my hands, it is harder to rotate my forearms clockwise. I haven't videotaped my swing, but it feels on a full swing that the club is parallel or even titled towards the target line(even though it probably isn't). Any tips on keeping the shaft on plane with the hands? I am also having a hard time with keeping my head still, but I know that will take a while to accomplish.
  6. Tee it a bit lower, especially since the ball is going very high. I am guessing if you had impact tape the ball would be hitting above the sweet spot.
  7. Except they can. Most game improvement clubs will not turn as much when hit not in the center. If you hit a blade near the toe it will open the club easier than others. Also, if there is more weight away from the center of the head, misses to the outer rims will not be as bad.
  8. Where do you see that info, I pretty sure they have the same specs as the tws, which are completely standard.
  9. #2: Hang out on a different day, or later that night. She should understand, if she doesnt then the future doesnt look bright for you two.
  10. Do it alot now(whenever I replace a club), got a few tools to make it easy like a tape scraper, a thing that opens the tip of the grip so you can slide it on easier, and used an old clamp with a shaft holder. I like the strips instead of the tape, and use minerial spirit found at walmart.
  11. Who would use those mats? Or is it required for iron shots?
  12. Say they broke, or mention that new ones might raise your game.lol
  13. I started this same thread about a month ago, and I decided to get sharpros. I kinda like them better than golf prides since they are softer, so they are defiantly worth it. I just bought more for $45 bucks off ebay for 13.
  14. Right now you cant get the vr blades pretty cheap(got mine for 390). Alot easier to hit than most and they are forged. Otherwise the bridgestone makes some good, cheap irons currently(cant remember exact name).

    Green Fees

Ranges from 15-100s. Try golfnow. com, alot of times it is half off green fees with carts. If it is 60 bucks, better be really nice.
  16. Was wondering on the importance of having the feet fanned outward with the s&t;(according to their dvd). I like to have my feet perpendicular to the target line. What benefits does having them fanned provide?
  17. I really dont care, as long as your not dickering around on the course. Not business/personal calls, chatin up on the green, etc... If your just golfing and not messing around the should be no problem with time.
  18. Yep, pretty dumb. They are gonna get terrible maltby ratings
  19. Not too sure, you have to find a Nike rep. Call your pro shop?
  20. Better pre-order or you will have to wait till april, they are selling out fast.
  21. Nike is coming out with a mixed set this fall. Blades, muscles, and pocket cavs.
  22. Meaning different feel. Plus the one on the bottom has a good resale value, so when people start talking about price it really is irrelevant.
  23. I know hitting into a net doesn't provide the best feedback, but that range just sounds awful. So, supplementing it sometimes with a net makes a lot of sense.
  24. I think thats why odyssey is extremely popular. They are in every golf store.
