We actually played Reid my first time playing golf... and didnt like it very much... we actually were going to try Mid Valee this summer when I was there, but decided to save that course for next year. Ill definitly check out the other courses though, I love playing different courses. (In WI ive played Hilly Haven, Bridgewood, Royal St Patricks (I have not played the back nine or hole 19 at RSP, saving that for next year), Reid, Countryside, High Cliff, and Ledgeview).

I LOVE WISCONSIN!!! Since I live in NYC without a car I only get to play golf 1 month during the summer every year when I visit Wisconsin :D (mostly the courses around and between GB and Appleton). I started golf August 2009, and my goal for this year was really improving my short game and NO MORE 10s and get a par... I did improve my short game (I mean it couldnt get worst lol, but seriously, noticably better), I shot a few 10s my first two rounds of the year, but didnt shoot 10 the rest of Summer... I did get my first par ever... and it came on hole 6 of bridgewood GC in neenah. I am gosh darn awful and always miss hit my driver, so this year I took a page from that heineken commercial (learn to golf from the old guys) and slowed down my swing (maybe 50-60%)... the result was maybe 190-200 yards but fairway 70% of the time which was better than hitting my 2nd near the lady tees because I hit a dribbler off the whites. At Hilly Haven (In De Pere) I played my first 18 rounds of golf, the front 9 was pretty much avg for me around 64 (lol), but I shot my lowest ever 9 holes in the back nine with a 47 ( I strung together two pars on a par 3 and 4) I also won my first (and only) match against my brother at Royal St Patricks. I seem to have developed a very bad habit this year, that I really dont like... I seem to swing my butt off, I lift my left foot and turn it towards the left (facing the fairway, im righthanded) , want to fix that before next year. My Goal next year is to shoot at least 1-2 pars every 9 holes, get my first birdie, continue to shoot no 10s, and continue to improve my short game.

I want to play Pebble Beach one day, but its not on top of my list, its probably number 4 not because its not a beautiful course but because I visit my family in Wisconsin every summer so... Whistling Straits will be number 1, and since I live in NYC, Bethpage is 2; after these courses, I would say the stadium course at Sawgrass only because I want to play hole 17 so bad (I want to contribute some balls to that lake). Of course I want to break 95 at the very least before I even consider playing any of these courses (although i dont think I would do too bad on hole 17 of Sawgrass because PW is the only club I hit consistantly). Soo the day I break 95 or 90, is the day I start crossing these courses off my list.

Wow, I didnt know you could do that. I always assumed play as is (we didnt in this case anyway, he did take a free drop, but we didnt know it was allowed).

...the ball you drive hits the fairway and doesnt bounce; instead the ball burries itself into the fairway. How would you play that? youre still about 200 yards away (Flag is obviously against the wall of fairway in front of the ball) Playing Royal St Patricks in Wisconsin today, it had been raining all morning. I was walking down that same fairway towards the green and a part of the fairway litterally gave way like a sink hole... my foot sank ankle deep into the fairway. I did played my best round of golf to date... using a little tip from a Heineken commercial ( I slowed down my swing big time and hit a lot of fairways heh). I love that commercial.

You know what, there was a time when I did know all my yardages. Now its all visual, what I mean is that when I hit my balls at the range and then I go out to the course, I can visually see how far the pin is, and i know which club I should use because I know which club can go that far. Its not a very good method, but it hasnt failed me yet. I have forgoten most of my yardages, except my PW and driver. (Pw is my favorite club).

Okay, I had to work on a poster presentation yesterday and so I bought a poster from staples and had to transport it via subway. The subway was packed and i had to get this big ass board in there... So Im standing up in front of the seated people and I made every attempt not to hit people and I did a pretty good job at it (my board only touched the butt of this lady standing up, at this point), so apparently my board moved a bit from the jerky breaking (of the train) and touched the leg of this seated woman. This woman KICKS MY BOARD, I looked down at her to see if that just actually happened, so Im like whatever. Instead of a "please get your board away from my leg" she kicks it and then looks away like it was the right thing to do. Next stop everyone is getting off so I had to manipulate my board so people can get out, I lifted the board up WITHOUT TOUCHING anyone, and that lady (in her 40s) who kicks my board is like "you better not touch my leg" or "you better not hit my leg" (i forgot which). Im a polite person, I said "im sorry" and flash her a smile, she replies "youre going to be sorry if you touch (or hit) my leg with that board." Now at that point, I was tired (going on only 2-4 hours of sleep for every two days for about 3 weeks now), annoyed (Ive performed below my standards in 3 straight exams now), and just overall in a bad mood. I really felt like at that point if she would have touched me, I would have punched her in the face and it would have felt great. I doubt I really would have punched her, because its inconceivable to hit a woman, but man, people like that is one of the reasons that I cannot wait to move out of NYC.

Id rather they play in bra and underwear (well... if their BMI isnt off the charts), to each their own.

Yeah sure, blades are beautiful, but for me these Nike full cavity irons are crazy sexy.

Im still a sort of new player, I have 6, rounds of 9 hole golf under my belt. My best hole was a 5, on a par 4, not because it was my best hole ever (Ive had many boogeys still havent made par yet), but because I one putt making a 30+ footer.

I am the other way around, I think its kinda lame to wear a "titleist" or "Taylormade" type hats, when I see that I think "oh look at this tool he thinks hes a pro or something." When I see a guy with a Yankees, or Knicks, or MICHIGAN (Go blue) cap, I think, okay this guy is a so and so fan. My michigan cap is my FAVORITE cap, ive had it for years, and there are sweat stains on the bill to prove it lol.

Even though Im a new golfer, the 6 Iron has always been my favorite/best, when all clubs would fail me, the 6i is always working. At 80% I always hit it straight, contact feels amazing, and consistantly landing it around 120yds, (My PW would be the next most consistant)

Ive been wearing oakleys since I was a BMX riding teenager, today (almost 10 years later) I own the minute (not 2.0) and half jacket sunglasses, both sets with ice, black, and fire iridium lenses. I just love the quality and customer service of oakley and dont think I can ever go with any other company.

None, Im still trying to get a par on any hole.

Wow there always seems to be drama with this girl. Shes like the Lindsey Lohan of golf.

I can't play golf: Me too =) I hit 90% of my shots fat: I cant tell the diff lol I hit the ground with my driver when swinging: This happens often... Im already 3-4 swings trying to get off the tee box I hit my PW 110 yards: Mine is around 100 I can hit my driver 240 yards, but usually 190 and sky-high: mine is about 190 (or less if I slice badly) I hit my 7i 150 yards: im not sure how far i hit this maybe alittle over 100. I hit my 3 hybrid alittle over 150 my pw is around 100, everything else is in between. I finish on my toes and fall forward: I fall towards the ball I shoot in the 90s: I HIT IN THE 90s on 9 holes LOL I have fun when playing, but want to quit after most rounds or practices: I still love to play

I started learning to play golf at the beginning of the Summer, so I am a new golfer. When I first started inconsistancy and poor technique was my problem, but I worked on technique and got better(ish). Today I went to a heated driving range in Manhattan (Chelsea Piers Golf Club). Consistency with my irons have improved greatly (even the 4 iron). My biggest setback since the beginning has always been the driver. Im sure the majority of my strokes came from me trying to get the ball off the tee [I once took 6 strokes trying to get the ball off the tee (actually I hit 5 balls into the water about 10-20 feet in front of the tee), it got so bad I opted to hit my 3 wood off the ground], BUT i never thought about my swing it was just bad technique. I improved a bit with my driver before school started at the end of the Summer which is when i stopped practicing, but today at the range my driver hitting has been worst than EVER. I can make contact more consistently but, im slicing the crap outta the ball, im coming down on the ball, and its because IM SO AWARE of my arms, my grip, my back swing, my feet, my legs, I just feel like its going to be crappy contact from address to follow through. I get this outta my head its driving me mad... I almost rather take 6 strokes and not be aware of my swing than to try to driving completely aware of myself.

I wrote a blog predicting, that the moment the Yankees won the World Series, forums would light up with salary this and salary that (actually it wasnt much of a prediction more like an inevitability) . The salary complaint is absurd, here is a argument from another Yankees fan (I couldnt have said it better myself): I absolutely agree with this point, I am a season ticket holder and I spend a lot of money going to these games (more so this year) and I expect them to reinvest that money that I spent on tickets, beer, and merchandise into top tier players (and thank God for clean bathrooms, bathrooms in the old stadium was pretty nasty).

Im not that old lol... I am only twenty-seven, twenty-seven, *sigh*... Gosh I am old, It feels like just yesturday I was only sixteen, where did the time go? Anyway, like many younger fans, I became a fan in the early 90's. I actually barely remember being a Greg Jefferies fan in the late 80s (dont recall why), but in the early 90s when I became old enough to start playing baseball at the school yard I became a HUGE Don Mattingly fan. I never had a favorite team as a child but because of Don Mattingly, I became a Yankees fan, and eventually played first base on school teams (95 totally a sad year). I guess Ive been there since the last dynasty started (like most younger fans). It wasnt till I got older (towards the end of highschool I think) that I developed a loyalty for my state teams (with one exception). One day at the school library I decided what all my favorite teams would be, I was already a Yankees and Knicks fan, so I decided I would be a Rangers, and Giants fan aswell. The one exception, I lived in MI for 4 years of my life, and really wanted to attend the University of Michigan, and so that is my favorite college sport team (The only thing I hate coming out of Michigan is Tom Brady).
