Country Club Elite Mat Sizes
KoHo replied to ShawnSum's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I also made a platform and bought the 10x30 inch strip to place in it. The first strip lasted a year and a half with thousands of very steep swings into it. I wore a channel in the center of it about 1/2" deep. My current strip is a little over a year old and still going strong. -
The majority of the time I play is in full sunlight all year. A buddy of mine wears the regular golf lenses and when I tried them on, I just thought they were too bright for me in full sunlight. Overcast days would have been perfect though. The golf dark lenses are just slightly darker and that's why I chose them. I can also still see fine when playing late rounds at sunset.

I've been wearing the dark golf lenses for a couple years now.

Outdoor Practice Driving Net

Well I've officially blown threw the front net piece. Good thing is the main net looks good so the whole double net thing is definitely working... -
Can Engraving or Stamping Be Removed From a Club?
KoHo replied to ChetlovesMer's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Depending on their location, I'm sure those small impressions could be filled by TIG welding without overheating the putter head. You'd just need to find out what type of steel (probably some sort of 300 series stainless) you are working with then grind/sand/polish to match the surrounding finish. -
Notice the copious amount of impact marks on that thing. It takes a lickin and keeps on tickin...I use this because I can hit it multiple times without needing to readjust it.

I bought a small sheet of polycarbonate at Home Depot, 8"x10", to place behind my ball for feedback on my mat. It was like 5 bucks. It is held in place by tees. You definitely know when you hit a fat shot...

Now that is funny.

Well I got a surprise in the mail yesterday.... My replacement tag finally came after requesting it in September of last year.

Yeah I had 6 months of Evolvr instruction about a year and a half ago and I only sent in mid iron videos. Maybe it's time to start em up again. I've only started using partial swings for the last few months.

DTL Shaft Angle at A3 for Partial Swing Wedge Shots
KoHo replied to KoHo's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
My swing thread added. Thanks! -
I've been Playing Golf for: 3 Years My current handicap index or average score is: 13.6 My typical ball flight is: Push Draw The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Push Videos: Continuing this topic: Sometimes I dig ditches with my partial wedge shots and just wondering if I should actively shallow my downswing or take the club back shallower. Thanks for your help.

DTL Shaft Angle at A3 for Partial Swing Wedge Shots
KoHo replied to KoHo's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I can definitely start a "My Swing" thread showing both my full swing and half swing if that is necessary thanks. I have been recording my swing for a couple of years now, so my diagram is based on the video. I took evolvr lessons over a year ago and that is also why I am steep at A3 and shallow at A5. But what about when A3=A5? Thanks. -
Referencing the attached graphic, during my full swing, I'm at the red line (A) at A3 and the magenta line (C) at A5. A few months ago I started incorporating partial (1/2 & 3/4) swings into my game and my backswing has stayed the same. My half backswing stops at A3 and I am really taking some deep divots. I don't really know if I am taking the club back on the correct plane. Am I supposed to be a little more shallow at A3 on half swings? Like maybe the blue line (B)? It feels really awkward to shallow the club during the downswing in such a short amount of time. Thanks for any insight.

I'm shootin at the hip here so bear with me. Try this: Set up a pc in your house to be a proxy server for all of your wifi traffic. Install a web debugging proxy tool like fiddler on that pc. Create a Root CA cert from the web debug tool and install it on your phone so the wifi https traffic can be decrypted. Set up the web debugging tool to capture/filter only traffic from the gamegolf app on your phone. Open up the gamegolf app on your phone and see what the traffic looks like in the debug tool. Maybe delete the cached gamegolf data from your phone and see what happens when it repopulates. Export all of that data and look for patterns so you can write a script that parses the data and organizes it for you. Bingo Bango you're GG data is ready to be served... After reading this again it seems "Not gonna happen" is a better answer...

Can confirm. Full swing skull shot + Pure grips = Tag ejection

So I temporarily edited my last round. I deleted all of the zero distance shots (there were a lot ha...) and added a +2 penalty to the only tee shot. The club performance stats didn't change. It did change some stats though. The "Off the Tee" insight was showing an increase in percentage of fairways hit, but the average distance was now correct. Before, the average distance was accounting for the zero distance shots. Also, strokes gained moved some points from the off the tee category to the approach category. Not sure what happened there. I think I'm going to stick with the zero distance shot and the +1 penalty for the stroke and distance penalties. Thanks guys.
-
How do you guys deal with your stroke and distance penalties? When I hit a drive off the planet, I tag again and hit my second shot. When I edit my round, I have 2 tee shots. One is set to zero distance with a +1 penalty attached to it, and the other is my second drive. Pretty sure that zero distance shot is messing up my stats. Wondering if I should just have my second drive only with a +2 penalty attached to it...

I was tired of sweating through gloves last summer, so I just stopped wearing one. At the time I had Golf Pride MCC grips and my hands were getting tore up. I changed to Pure Pro grips and they have performed great so far.
-
Prices in the Las Vegas valley range from $10 to $750 + Hotel Stay. Depends on the course and the time of year. Middle of summer is the cheapest.

Thought I'd share this because I don't have any mirrors in my home that are large enough and located in a place where I can freely swing a club. I do, however, have an Android phone that supports DisplayPort over USB-C(Samsung S8+), an LCD TV with an HDMI port, a USB-C to HDMI adapter and a long HDMI cable. I position my phone just like when I am recording my swing. I place an LCD TV on the ground above my ball, relative to my line of sight at address, and prop it up on something so it is angled enough for sufficient viewing. Then I connect my phone to the TV with the adapter and cable. I can view my swing nicely without turning my head and record my swing if I want to. The only issue is a few millisecond delay. This could also be done with a wireless stream but my spare TV does not support that and I didn't want to purchase another gadget.

Changing my vote. I'm playing the "correct tees" from now on. Just finished playing the back tees on a course I've never played and everything went fine. 2 strokes better than my course handicap. Only topped one drive. Just need to get used to new approach distances. Thanks @klineka
