  1. Lessons, most of the time the best equipment is in between the ears.
  2. I have 2, an old MacGregor that I bought to mess with in college and an Odyssey Sabertooth . The next on my wish list is a Odyssey White Ice #9. Since I will probably never see the Scotty Cameron Napa California putter.
  3. I have been trying to be good all year so I can find a GPS under the tree
  4. Try this one: http://www.saturdaygolfleague.com/index.html
  5. I was fitted at PING in Phoenix. They will fit you for your putter to your driver for $0 dollars. The staff was great and I even got to meet John Solheim while I was there. I needed my lies adjusted and new grips for my irons. I had all my irons back the next day, all cleaned up, repainted and adjusted for a VERY low price Living in Metro Phoenix has it's perks. If anyone has the chance check them out, do it. They will treat you right.
  6. I am going to play at my home towns course. The world famous Ajo Country Club They still have the honor box going there. I can't wait
  7. In the bitter cold here in Arizona I usually wear shorts and a wind shirt. I just realized, I have never played a round of golf wearing pants
  8. Your suggestion is what I ended up doing. I moved my ball back about 1ball from center and can nail it. I was doing that yesterday. It feels great to hit to withing 6ft on a 196yd par 3 over water
  9. I was kind of "handsy" with the original grip on my putter. I switched to the Tiger Shark oversize grip and my feel and control are much better.
  10. I can hit my 3W, but I have the same problem with my hybrids. I can't seem to dial in a decent swing for them. I hit a wicked hook with just my 2 hybrids. I am not giving up on them, I just need to try and be patient with my progress
  11. LOL, I tried them already not enough difference to spend the money
  12. I think getting fit is the best advice. Go in with a price range you are comfortable with and hit clubs in that range and see which ones you like the best, and then spend away . lol What clubs you buy should be decided by what you can afford and how you hit them and not by who makes them or what pro plays them. Don't forget, a putter fitting will go along way for you.
  13. I have it now. Took me a year to get it all together. Only thing I am after now is a stand bag that I like.
  14. I focus on a spot about 1/2" in front of the ball for my iron and wedge shots. It is usually a certain blade of grass or a darker spot in the grass along my target line. By doing this I swing though the ball and my contact and ball flight have improved. As for the driver and 3W I keep my eye on the ball. I don't know why it works for me, but it does.
  15. I play the G10's and cannot be happier. I was fit at Ping here in Phoenix. The customer service cannot be beat. I bought my Irons & wedges used for a smokin deal and then went to Ping to have them fit to my needs. Lengthened the clubs, corrected the lie angle and regripped them and I had them back the next day. You cant go wrong with Ping.
  16. A supervisor for a large steel fabrication company.

    Age

    Turned 41 last month.
  18. I used to hit the range first, but I have been putting first lately and I seem to get a better start at the 1st tee. As long as I don't need to wait around to tee off. My driver seems alot happier that it doesn't have to wait in my bag while I putt.
