  1. Using my putting stroke, I'll take anything from a 3 hybrid or 6i to 9i from up to 15' from the green. My goal is to use the loft of said club to fly the ball to the green using a fairly safe stroke. I heard Gary Player say once "your worst putt is as good as your best chip"...I'm a firm believer.
  2. This is ridiculous. I can't fathom how this could go down...unreal

    Fathers...

All my kids are in their 20's but, I do have a 2 yr old grandson I take to the driving range once a week. He has a set of clubs gets his own bag of balls at the range. After hitting balls, he likes to go the practice green and putt around for a bit. I enjoy it just as much as he does.
  4. +1 I was going to mention greenskeeper.org...you beat me to it.
  5. My sentiments exactly. oh joy! looks like he is coming to my home course. Anything anyone want me to pass on to him? from his website: "Come see me play in the National Pro Tour "Ranking School" at Soboba Springs CC in San Jacento, CA on January 10th - 12th!"
  6. Sorry...I was going to stop it after 5 min, but decided to go to 7 min. Couldn't take anymore. Not entertaining or funny.
  7. I take a sharpie and mark the center of the ball with a black line (same as you would mark a ball to line up putts). If I hit the ball correctly, I have a vertical line in the middle of the club at a 90 degree angle. I get immediate feedback if I am striking the sweet spot and if I'm at the right distance from the ball. If I'm too close, the mark angle is toward me...too far mark angle is away.
  8. Funny...I was having the same problem. For some reason, I am confident hitting approach shots with my irons but, a bit rattled on the par 3 tee boxes. They way I'm getting around this is by convincing myself ,while standing on the par 3 tee box, that I'm hitting an approach shot. Since I'm hitting an approach, I do not use a tee. Just something I do and has been working..so far.
  9. Good luck to you! Have it set on my DVR to record...I don't want to miss an episode. Take it to'em!!
  10. Congrats on the picture and more for the fact your daughter plays with you. Still trying to get my daughter to play.
  11. I'll have a couple of bloody marys occasionally. I would have to say it helps calm me down. Not sure how much it helps my game but, it does add to the enjoyment of the round.
