  1. I thought the Math was more like this. (Score-Rating) x 113/Slope x 0.96 but if there's no rating to the course than this is not a valid Handicap. Try a regulation course and see how you do. If I had to guess (with no disrespect) your more like a 24 HC.
  2. If the printing is out of the way and no handling charges WTF does kindle/ibook versions have? The writter can write a book on his Ipad and upload it and that's it!! WTF?
  3. Classic!! busting up!!
  4. Same here.. I use my 60* vokey for everything 50 yards and in. It makes it easier to (confidence wise) and no indecision of what strategy. I can place the ball back for more bump and run and place the ball forward for flop shots.
  5. Oh!!! nevermind then, heck yeah TW needs to play in Ryder Cup!!!
  6. Rider Cup? Rider Cup? we talking bout Rider Cup? TW just win already.... I starting watching golf last year(religiously) so I missed out on all of TW great performances. Now Im a huge TW fan and I havent seen him win a Major yet... Dang it!! I'm pissed off.... Is Ricky Fowler the guy im going to watch now? He looks like ihe belongs in my daughters Disney movies.
  7. These are actually my favorite because they are the best wedges I've bought. I used to use a dunlop 60* a wilson thing 56* and some generic brand 52* so yeah for me the vokeys are great. but hey, forums are made to talk about random things like this... nah.. better clubs... old wedges were wilson dunlop and some generic one. the vokeys have better bite, crisp feeling.
  8. Lebran should of faked a big injury for a year and the Cavs could get the best player in the draft the next year. Similar to David Robinson to get Duncan, but injury was probably real.
  9. Hello!! I think Vokey wedges are the best I carry 52*, 56*, 60* Do you agree? If you don't agree what do you like? These wedges have helped me not change my swing 100 yards and in(takes out the guessing game), its responsible from me going from 19 HC to 12 HC...
  10. same exact goals!! I'm serious too.
  11. yeah I agree with the latter, a horrible short game gets you maybe bogeys. a horrible long game gets you OB and hitting 3rd shots from tee and possible hitting 5th shot from tee. then hitting your approach into the water and then past the green then up and down for a +6
  12. Well its been a couple weeks I guess. The results are in!! I do agree that long game comes first and then move on to short game. I was a 13.7 Handicap when this started. Now i shaved 1.5 and now claim a 12.2 Handicap. I worked on my full swing "Driver Mainly" went took a quick lesson and tried it on the range a couple times and BAM!! I was hitting more fairways and getting more GIR's and I began to birdie more and hit for more distance. so the key for me is to keep up the long game and then when its as repetitive and consistant as it can be then work on the short game. Under 10 HC this year is not out of the question.... Thanks all for your comments....
  13. okay but what about those holes that have a blind side to them and your pretty sure the group ahead is done and you hit a ball that trickles next to them. I played a course with multiple blind spots and was pissing off the group ahead. anybody have suggestions on courses like this?
  14. I regret not getting covers for my titleist irons. it was my first expensive set and they got all knicked up in just a couple months. Next set I get im getting covers. probably keep these as practice clubs.
  15. My boss cheats all the time. Um I just let it go. Unless it's for money I count all his shots. My only cheating is I don't reheat off the tee usually just take a drop. But i'm just playing casually. I've never played in tournament, is there someone around to give you rule updates on every hole?
  16. Going down I was at 19 January. Now I'm at 13.1 and I broke 80 last month. Ray Romano inspired me to break 80. Now goal is to repeat that. Shot 81 today.
  17. 81, usually shoot mid 80's working on getting down to 70's.
  18. Hit out of bounds on par 5 then I hit a 5wood up to the green 225yds. Ended up making par.
  19. I found a 6 iron when I was 16 and messed around a couple times at school when nobody was around. That was 14 years ago.. I went to the range a couple times 5 years ago then really started to play 3 years ago. From playing once a month now playing once to twice a week. So I really started to play at the age of 27.
  20. I'm by no means a pro. But one tip that I hear a lot with woods and hybrids. Give it a full smooth swing. no herky jerkyness. See if that helps.
  21. Well I'm confused now! I was reading "Tiger Woods How I play golf" and he said that you need a great short game for those times when your spraying your tee shot and aproach shots..... So I will continue to practice both but at a 80% full swing and 20% short game....
  22. that's what I've been livin off of. "Do I have a shot at the green?" but some courses are too much target golf.
  23. I will be doing my own study. I am currently a 13.8 HC with a good short game and a mediocre Driver/Wood player decent iron play from P-7 4,5,6 irons not so good. So I went and got a lesson for my Driver and it will also work for my long irons. I normally shoot in the low 80’s I played yesterday with new swing and shot a 91. I’m doing a couple of very new things with my swing since it was my first ever swing lesson. So yeah the battle is SHORT GAME vs LONG GAME. I will practice more of my full swing to get better then later work on my short game. Oh yeah the goal is to become a single digit Handicap. The theory I hear, is that staying on the fairway is key. I’m so used to taking a drop and playing from the other fairways I just became comfortable with it and I can always(90%) recover. It got so bad that I considered playing 7 iron on every tee. But I took the lesson instead.
  24. woods cost? what do you mean?
