  1. i really dont see a need for anything greater than 60*, but hey different strokes different folks.
  2. Im looking for some fellow sandtrapper's to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 with for PS3 online....... if we get enough people we could maybe do a SandTrap.com live tournament or maybe a Ryder Cup Match!? i think this would be pretty cool.
  3. yes "TOO MANY" according to my gf.....shes always saying she wishes i would treat her like i do my guns..........she wasent thrilled about being locked in a safe!
  4. i play with a guy, my boss actually that dips tobacco. and he never spits the stuff! on the course or in the office! i asked him how he can swallow that sh@t and he says "dont bother me none." i dont know about you guys but seeing someone swallow that stuff is just as gross and seeing someone spray it all over the course. IMO
  5. I also am gaming a Superfast right now. for me its a great club..... id say hit both if you have a chance.
  6. Hey Ray, do you ever come to main land China for golf, im currently located in Yangzhou an am always looking for a new golf buddy!? shoot me a pm if u are interrested.....
  7. a drill i picked up from one of DL's DVD series... take a club a lay it directly behind the ball with the grip butting up to the the ball. then place another golf ball at the other end of the grip, on the inside ( side closest to your right foot)....this will help promote getting the club on an in to out path. now remove the club. the idea is to make sure you sweep the back ball on your take away.....reinforcing the one piece take away.... ( wrist, shoulders, chest,......) should all move as one on the take away. hit as many balls you need using this drill. it worked for me.
  8. i play a course here in Shanghai called Sun Island Golf Club. these guys are real a$$ holes when it comes to pin locations, I mean you wouldnt believe these pin locations, its like Sunday pin location in a major tournament, everyday of the week! ............. also quik question, what is the minimum distance from the edge of the green they can place the pin? i wanna say 4 ft but im not sure..... thanks
  9. Honestly you should avoid focusing on any real "teaching" and focus more on making sure she has fun! shes only 9, at that age if something is not fun, chances are you wont want to do it again.....IMO
  10. haha i guess that why they say "you cant draw pictures on the score card!" on paper it's just a number!

  14. Go for it man Hogan makes great clubs! and i can personally vouch for those grips had them on my MP-30's and now have them on my AP2's
  15. In a recent Bushnell ad online it stated that the tour caddies already use rangefinders before tournaments to verify yardage books, is this just a load of bs trying to sell their product, or is it true? ps i saw this ad on Golfsmith.com
  16. I am currently located in Shanghai China for work. Fake golf clubs are EVERYWHERE here! You can find the fake clubs at the "fake market" as us expats like to call it. it's a place where u can get fake watches, shoes, clothes, bags, software, DVDs, and of course golf clubs. ive always been tempted to buy them but have yet to do so. many of my co workers and friends who come and visit always buy a set. and the way the lady that sells the clubs explained it to me was as follows. There are two tiers of copied clubs here. The first being a cheaply made copy. dosent look as good damn sure dosent feel as good and are priced extremely low. The next level are what she likes to refer to as "OEM" quality. witch look great, feel great, and are a little more pricey, but a steal compared to retail prices. now she says that the "OEM's" are actual clubs from the manufacturer that are flawed, these flawed clubs get sent to small time assembly factories and are assemled and sold on the black market. Now my first question to her was "If these clubs are ALL factory rejects, why do you have a surplus of iron sets, drivers, putters, fairway woods and hybrids in stock? do you expect me to believe that the Taylormade and Callaway and Titleist and the Mizuno factory each made 10 complete sets of flawed clubs?" seems like to me when u order a set of true OEM rejecets that it would take some time to get this order filled and theres a pssibility that you may have some iron shafts and graphite shafts mixed together in order to complete your set.....? right? this article may shine some light on the subject and let you see just how big the copy market is here! http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...464468,00.html
  17. Here in China you see that a lot, here in China golf is still a relatively new sport. and the prices for a round/memebership are garunteed to keep it a sport for the elite class. never fails everytime i go out for a round ill see a bunch of business men playing in a foursome, awesome shiny looking staff/cart style bags, brand new top of the line clubs. these guys golf swings hurt just to watch, yet they insist on playing from the blue/black tees. i say 80% of the time thier tee shots dont even make it past the forward tees. (makes for a looooong round playing behind these guys, you can play through but the course is full of them) lol but i still get a laugh out of watching that tee shot trickle 20 yards off the tee box!
  18. HAHA dont you love it. They have been asking you all day for tips, and you tell them "hit your 5 iron" they reply "no, i think ill go with my 7 instead"........"shit!, its in the water"
  19. thanks Dan, i dont mind sharing my knowledge. I actually enjoy it, just not on the course. Maybe i should get them to pay me for lessons in Beer and free meals! that would be nice, or maybe start paying my green fees for me????
  20. i wouldnt do it....unless its a replacement for one you already have!
  21. No complaints with My FT-iZ, LONG, and very east work the ball. love it. also Callaway has always been really good at rectifying any issues i have had.....
  22. i will on this course watching this tournament! so pumped. Sheshan is a beautiful course!
  23. tomorrow im playing a scramble with 2 hackers and one of my other buddies who is actually really good. i dont mind this format casue it usually invloves a lot of beer! and i love taking those risky shots with out pressure
  24. here latley it seems more and more of my friends and co workers are getting into golf, this is a good thing dont get me wrong. but these last few outings it seems that i end up doing more babysitting/coaching than actually focusing on my round. informing them of etiquette, rules, and of course the questions." what am i doing worng?" "why does that always happen?" "how do I fix that?". i really dont feel bad because ive asked them numerous times to come to the range with me and practice and if they do come with me they hit nothing but driver untill they are to sore to move. lol How do you guys deal with these types of scenarios? does it make me a bad person/friend because i would rather have skilled people in 4 some???? and how do i go about telling co workers and close friends that i dont want to play with them untill they can keep the ball in play and i dont have to remind them to rake bunkers and fix ball marks and such?????
