It was the golf ball, pro v1. I hit it closer with my irons, further with my woods and rolled every putt. Bam. Bahahaha. Jk. It was me. No equipment has every moved the ball unless I swung the club.
-
Sounds like you know your game. Ever try to game a hybrid. Same swing as the 4 irons boat loads more distance+forgiveness

60 ish times per year avg over the last 3 years. Except this year. I'll be around 40-45. Keep in mind I live in the Canada eh. The record at my club is 224 18 hole rounds in one season. That's a April - October season

5 iron off the tee. On par 4s. You tha man.

My point is. I had jaw surgery a few days (yay me) and since I can't golf, practise or do anything, for that matter. I here getting sucked up by the TST vortex. If others believe golf to be a sport, great. If golf needs to be a sport for one to play it, then let it be. To me it's a game.

It's a game. It falls into the same category as....pool,darts,lawn bowling, horse shoes, curling etc. Can be considered as a "bar" sport . I played hockey as a kid and still do. No way in heck is a fat 60 year old is taking the puck from me, nor is a 60 year old out running me on any track, court or ice rink, but i have been beat on the course several times. Plus, just because guys in the current era workout doesn't change anything. The only debatable fact of sport vs game is the fact the golf will be in the Olympic's again. Likewise, Dart's require great hand eye coordination, feel and lots of practise, but that will never them athletes nor those activities sports.

Putting is like art. There's not one right or wrong way of doing it, holding the club or making your stroke. People need to spend the same amount of time rolling putts as they do hitting bucket after bucket. If they did, they would be pretty surprised on how much they could improve. However, just like art not everyone will as good at it as the next person. With practise everyone will find their most effective way to see and roll the ball but not everyone will putt like spieth.

How many balls do you hit, on average, at the range?

I wouldn't worry. No putt is ever straight. You might be like bubba.he only sees curves in golf never straight lines. I'm the same way, you might be a feel player.

Sure, tiger does move the needle but it's only because there is sooooooooo many golfers that are hopeless romantics and just can't except the fact that it's time to move on.Also, a +5 cap shooting a avg of par is bad and tiger is too much introverted compared to Jordan to enjoy hanging out with.

Come on. Ask a PGA pro and I guarantee that they would say it doesn't bother them, the "shouts" are ALWAYS post swing. I'm sure the opposite can be said with cell phones and cameras clicking in their back swing. It's not about you (spectators) and it never will be about you. it's about the the guys inside the ropes. Go cry all you want, but do it on your mom's time. On that note. "LIGHT THE CANDLE" bahahaha.

Do you balance your golf balls?
shooter replied to SpoiledRotten's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I cant believe people waste their time debating this topic. Golf is a time bandit as it is, so why would one waste time balancing golf balls instead of practicing? I watched the video. How do you know this guy hasn't spent his lifetime collecting and balancing balls? Chances are that's what he wrote his paper on in school, and the dozen or so balls he has could just be a manufacturing defect. You know, in manufacturing you cant check every ball. The quality control personall pick one or two balls from a batch of hundreds and tests' them...So there is a possibility that there could be a "bad" ball in the box....but you ll loose it just as quick as the "balanced" one anyways. Also, wheels on cars are checked for balance, and once a miss-balance is located on the rim they add a weight to offset the weight in that spot, thus finding a "balance" to the wheel assembly. A ball isn't fixed to a spindle like a wheel on a car...so finding that a ball is miss balanced is irrelevant cause you cant do anything about it.....Therefore; this whole balancing debate is flawed like a 15 cap playing blades... Hope that got everyone worked up! :) -
Good question. I would imagine the grooves are worn in that impact area, so you could be loosing a bit of spin. If those were my clubs i would be replacing them (if the budget allowed). Then again, the rust in the sweet spot could be acting a like sand paper and putting more spin on the ball than one might think? Thats my .02

Driving distances and my 3w. Tips?
shooter replied to brj872's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I dont see a issue, hit the 3w 275 and leave the driver at home. Also, that sounds like typical internet driving numbers to me for 16 cap. -
Help with new club - Thinking of Taylormade MC
shooter replied to Maneotrix's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Get the MC's. If you played the Slazenger "seve's" back in the day to a 10 or so cap, then you will have zero problems getting solid contact with TM MC irons. They will likely be more forgiving than your old clubs. As far as shafts go, this rule of thump is a good guide line ^^^^^^^^. Look into Project X shafts, there pretty cool, and carry lots of options to suit most swings. What is it about the Taylor Made MC's that caught your eye? -
What's missing from your Golf Lesson?
shooter replied to MasterclassGolf's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I voted for never. I lie, i did take lesson's when i first got started, but it took a dozen lesson's with 3 different accredited instructors for me realize that being thought how to swing a club by someone who teaches the same crap to everyone they see, is extremely counter productive. Now i have a golf coach, not swing instructor, and my game is starting to take shape. My wife and her friends signed up for a whole series of lessons this season....You best know that I'll be present when these lessons are in progress, and i hope the instructor address each of their problems individually, and not as a group. -
DOOM! I'm sure you guy's is wife's are more tame then mine, but don't expect your lady to smile all day long when your blasting your shots, and she cant even get her ball to the end of the tee box! Goof luck

Nice, I had two wisdom teeth pulled last May, so i know it hurts if there starting to get impacted, but i feel like wisdom tooth pain could have been the easiest excuse to pull off for the rory camp, and if his tooth did hurt. He would of been shoving the typical sign of tooth pain...oh well.

GC just stated " Wisdom tooth pain" was the reason for the withdrawal!! LOL What a gonk show!
