I would add the Bridgestone E5 to this selection. same price as the others mentioned.

I have hit one. It was a 136 yard par 3 slightly uphill and into about a 10 mph wind. I hit an easy 8 iron and flew it straight into the cup. I was playing with two good friends so I had witnesses. I have the ball, the signed scorecard, the letter from the PGA and the clip out of the local newspaper all framed and hanging up in the living room.

My youngest daughter is 12 and at first she didn't show much interest in golf. Then she started wanting to go out with me and watch and be my "caddie" and drive the cart. As my caddie I was able to teach her some of the rules and ediquite of golf. Then abut a month ago she asked to go with me to the range and I showed her just a couple of basic fundamentals and now she is really starting to enjoy going to the range and hitting balls and being with daddy, which thrills me to no end. I will let her take the next step like the last two as to when she wants to really start learning and playing, I thnk it is coming, when we go to the store she likes to go to the sporting goods section and look at the golf clubs that would fit her. Small steps at your childs pace and the interest will develop and the fun will remain.

I will always tip the cart girl, and here is why, she brought me something I did not have and I will show my appreciation for it. I usually will tip nicely regardless of what they look like and regardless of what they are paid by the course. A .30 cent tip is just rude in my view. Just remember that not only is she providing you a service but she is also bringing you something you didn't have and wanted otherwise why did you buy it? As for the difference in tipping customs between here and Europe or elsewhere...when in Rome do as the Romans.

Advice on which golf ball I should use
royalwulff replied to mgolfer's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I would agree with CG031. Try the Bridgestone E-6 its a good ball and helped me reduce some of the slice off my drives. It is not the cure all but it does seem to help. -
Which ball do you use? or prefer?
royalwulff replied to Robiola the Monster's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I like to play the Bridgestone E-5's or the SrixonTriSpeed. I voted for the Callaway Hot as they are a great ball also. -
Check out FootJoy, you can design your own shoes there and they will make them for you.

I went out and played 9 today and shot a 49. It may not be much but after a 120 yesterday for 18 I was thrilled.

Do you ever bring your significant other to watch you play?
royalwulff replied to GITrDONE's topic in Golf Talk
I have gotten my wife to the course only once and she enjoyed it except for the bit of rain that we got while playing. She took pictures and drove the cart for the round and all in all we had a really good time. -
You are right about the frequency of the lightning here in Colorado, but every once in awhile it does happen. My avatar was taken up at Breckenridge in May and on the final hole it started snowing on me, great big wet flakes, which I thought was really cool.

I like playing in the rain as lonsg as there is no lightning! I have to agree with mountain hip, to invest in some good rain gear. I bought mine at cabelas. I also have a set of rain gloves and love to use them when its wet. A couple of hints...put on your rain gear before you get wet and you will be more comfortable. Its is amazing how many people I see who wait till they are soaked to put on their rain gear, then spend the rest of the time griping about how uncomfortable they are. I also keep a towel in one of the larger pockets on my bag and only use it to wipe off my grips and then put it back in to keep it as dry as possible. I have a zip lock bag that I use to keep my scorecard in to keep it dry. There are two reasons I like to play in the rain...1. most other folks leave the course so you could have it almost all to yourself. 2. I like the smell and quiet that comes to a golf course after a rain...very peacefull. The picture in my avatar was taken just after a light rain.

Buying New Iron Set - Help Me Choose!
royalwulff replied to PJStyles's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Just a quick comment on the TaylorMade Draw Driver, I don't have the driver but I do have the 3 wood and 3 Hybred and when I can afford to I will replace both of them. The seemed nice in the store on the moniter but I can't hit them to save my life on the course. -
I have about the same swing speed as you and I really like Bridgestone E-5, I replaced my HX Hots with the E-5's.

Ok here is my two cents worth on this... Gary Player should be willing to provide the names to the PGA and not the media, if in fact he has the names, so that the PGA can take the necessary steps to look into the accusations. He also should have taken it to the PGA and the R&A; and not the media. This would give the proffesional organizations the chance once again to look into the claims. The LPGA IS instituting a drug testing policy for 2008, and I have yet to hear any accusations made against the ladies. If I am wrong on this than please feel free to correct me. They have listed on their website the drugs they are testing for, the reason they are testing for them, and are offering classes on the testing procedure. IMHO this is a good move for two reasons: 1. if there is a drug problem they can adress it and fix it before it becomes a worse problem: 2 If there is not a drug problem then they have proven it to the world and will be able to avoid the accusations.

Teeing off at 9:30 in the morning and being the first one to play that set of nine. I played it in 1:45 and shot a career low of 42.

How do yall mark your balls on the green?
royalwulff replied to fairwaysngreens's topic in Golf Talk
I use a 1945 silver half dollar usually heads up. -
I will put in my bag what I find that works for me. I tend to stay with the more well known names but I have no specific loyalty to one name brand.

I love to hunt for pheasants, duck and goose. I also fly fish for trout.

Price to play golf on course's in your area
royalwulff replied to Clubswinger21's topic in Golf Talk
The local course here in Colorado where I live is $29.00 for 18holes, cart and a small bucket. If I drive 3 hours up to the mountains then the cheapest you will find is $100.00 not including cart or range balls. We do have a golf passport deal here in Colorado that if you buy it for about $50.00 it gives you free, discounted, or half off greens fees. You can usually make up for the cost of the passport after about two rounds of golf, espically up on the mountain courses. After about four rounds it will usually pay for the gas also. -
I have been there a few times and yes most of the restraunts require a jacket and some also require a coat and tie, but I would never think of it as snooty or stuck up. The food there is excellent and worth wearing the jacket. They will treat you like a king and take really good care of you. If you are married and taking your wife there will be plenty there for her to do also, if she doesn't play golf. They are holding the 2008 Senior Open there on the East course, so it should be a bit tougher set up than usual. I have also heard that the new mountain course is quite a challenge.

I have played with a couple of guys like that before, One of them my buddies and I talked with and he has improved , and the other one, well...not playing golf with him much anymore.

It was nice to see Kerr keep it together down the stretch. Congratulations to her on her Major vistory!
