The course is crazy hard and fast....and that's great because the fairways are relatively wide and it's pretty short. The greens were reported at 14, but Feherty said last night he thought they were about 18 and the fastest he's ever seen. That's saying something. His tweet was funny. '"This course is so hard I think they've been watering it with Cialis. And I just saw Webb Simpson and Billy Haas in separate bathtubs." I did see Tiger and Phil together sitting by the green. I really wonder after it all came apart for Tiger if he had regrets about how his relationships with other players have been.

I knew what you meant Flog. Sean probably did too

Cristie Kerr was the injured player at the Solheim.

Tiger and Steve were flat, but it's interesting how the media is focused so much on the Tiger half. Stricker has been hurt and hasn't played since the tour championship. He really didn't look sharp in the first round. Maybe they'll both play better with different partners.

I'm no drinker, but if I took a drink every time they mentioned Ogilvey's local knowledge or that he's a member of Royal Melbourne I would be hammered!

If anyone is questioning how Tiger "moves the needle" (to borrow a phrase from Erik) check this out. The shirts the US team wore yesterday for practice are up for auction. All players are at 200 (opening bid) except Tiger, whose shirt is at 600 already. More people are paying attention to the event because he's in it. http://www.ebay.com/sch/pgatourcharitieshq/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3686

I really enjoy this format so I'll be watching the coverage each night this week. Of course the Tiger match will be one to watch, but I'm curious to see how Toms/Mahan play. Toms is one of my favorites (geaux tigers!).

Can't wait to watch it. I bet Stevie doesn't say anything to Tiger; Adam will have him muzzled.

Thanks guys. I've been really interested in Aimpoint for a while, but the majority of this year has been spent overhauling my swing (and doubling my index ). I can't work on too much at once so I'm glad a lot of that work is coming together. It's pretty obvious that I need to focus hard on putting over the winter. I track my stats with SkyCaddie and it's really revealed how little I've focused on short game this year. I've never been one who makes a lot of putts, but I don't 3 putt often. I need to make some birdies and clutch par putts to get back down to where I want to be. FIR - 74% GIR - 51% (but most recent 10 rounds have been better) Those two aren't that bad IMO. If I can average 12 GIR per round at my home course I'm really happy since it's a tough track. The next 3 stats are freakin pitiful though. Putts / hole - 1.83 Putts after GIR - 1.97 Birdie putts made - 9% My home course is very tough so my 5-6 index travels well. I'm ready to make some birdies though

My club has a certified Aimpoint instructor on staff (I believe he's still the only one in TN). He does a group class every couple months, but I've had conflicts every time one was scheduled. He's shared the basics premise with me, but I haven't had a real lesson yet. All that will change this Saturday. We're going to start a series of 1 on 1 Aimpoint lessons. I'll report back afterwards, but I'm excited to start the process.

I was given The Swinger recently. I read it while we were at the beach last month. Definitely worth of an R rating for the language. Very interesting parallel to TW's life.

I started a thread last week when he ran away with a victory. Hopefully he'll keep it going.

I use golfnow often when I travel. It's a great resource during peak seasons, but it's not the best in the fall through spring. You can often get the same deal (or slightly better) by calling the course in advance and asking them what the better deal is.

Im not really a fan either, but he's always seemed to have more talent than his record has shown.

Anybody watch this morning's coverage? It's great to see Sergio playing this well. He's pretty much run away with it. 8 strokes in the lead going into the final round, should be enough.

She's definitely got game! I wonder if they'll automatically let Zoolander in for the next season since he got sick.

I was at Bay Hill last fall playing with a forecaddie. I had 210 in on a par 5, but it was a very tight shot. The caddie called me out by asking "did you come to Bay Hill to lay up". I went for it and hit the green with a big 4i. Felt d@mn good and that's been a good swing thought for me since. If I'm playing in a low dollar money round or for fun I'll usually go for it. If it's competitive it all depends on how I'm feeling and the situation, but more often than not I'm playing safe and hoping to stick a wedge close.

Don't start a major swing change if you're questioning your dedication to see it through. I'm a former baseball player who put golf down from age 15-18 after playing some as a middle schooler. I started working with a pro when I got serious about golf at age 19, got to scratch by age 22 and it's dwindled up from there with kids, job, etc.. Last fall I was a 4.1 index. I had the brilliant idea to rebuild my swing with (in all honesty) an outstanding teaching pro. I'm now a "scrambling and really relying on my short game" 5-6 handicapper wondering why I decided to make major changes in my mid-30s. I'm 75% of the way through and have really questioned whether or not it was a good decision. I went from hitting 12-14 GIR to now hitting 8-10. It's been frustrating. I will add that I lost about 6 weeks of prime time this summer with a minor back problem. I'm going to see it through and hopefully be better off by the spring, but I really feel like an idiot for messing with it.

I'm recanting my endorsement of TrueLinkswear on Page 2. They've continued to stretch out and have not held up as well as I'd hoped. Will be sticking with FJ DryJoys (or equivalent) going forward.

MVMAC - the video really explained it well. Thanks.

TW is making a bit of a move today.

Mediocre year here. Started the year with an index of 4. I've worked hard on my swing with a really good teaching pro. I'm now a scrambling 5.2. I'm hitting 70+% of fairways, but only about 50% of greens. The changes to my swing are taking longer than I'd hoped to really take effect. It's been a year like no other when I'm standing over mid and long irons with little confidence in my swing. Hopefully I can get it grooved better this fall so work through the winter can start next year off right. On a positive note, my putting is better than it's ever been.
