You are right, and here are two comments related to what you wrote:

Exactly. Ive often gotten the impression that the Koreans are a lot more serious about the game, whereas the American ladies are more interested in looking cute and smiling for the cameras.

I think thats a large part of why the LPGA is struggling to find sponsors. The Koreans who are winning really dont seem very warm and friendly to the fans and media (mostly due to the fact that they dont speak English in many cases) and its difficult for American fans to really rally behind them, whereas the American golfers who are more fan-friendly and more easily marketable arent winning. I especially have a hard time taking Creamer and Gulbis seriously, because they both seem all about looking good first and playing good second. I mean, yeah they are both smokin' hot, but so what? If they dont get the job done on the golf course they might just as well forget about golf and go be models.

You are right, but at least Natalie has been going through swing improvements with Butch Harmon, and Paula works out religiously to get more distance because she kinows that she needs it. The best of both worlds is to look good and be fan friendly (with the resulting endorsement contracts) and be a winner. Natalie did break through and earned her first win in 2007.
