Great thread to read about improving your posture:

http://thesandtrap.com/t/56069/good-golf-posture

So try and set up a little bit more comfortably. Contrary to the popular belief, having a rounded back is good because it is how the back naturally is designed.

It also seems like you start the backswing by rolling your hands, which can lead to a bad position at the top. Try starting the backswing with your shoulders and let the elbow bend when it feels natural, instead of rigth away. Might help a bit.

Driver: 10.5* callaway Razr Hawk Tour - 350 yards(usually into the wind, it can be windy here. at least 400 with a little wind behind me)

Hybrids: 2 and 3 callaway Hybrid razr tour (312 and 287 respectively)

Irons: 3i-10i callaway forged standard length(278, 263, 250, 235, 221, 213, 201, 190)

Wedges: callaway jaws cc 52* 12 approach, 56* 16 sand, 60* 13 lob (0-185)

Odyssey Black tour #9 putter(5 ft, i'm always at least within 5 feet on my approach shot)

I wonder who on this forum is a PGA tour pro, disguised as a normal player..

Yea, your forearms early. If you look at 0:07 mark, were the clubhead is parallel to the ground. You can see a big space between your left arm and your chest. Start your swing more with rotating your shoulders and keeping that left arm against your chest. Basically the left arm will stay connected to your chest, and then rise up your chest to gain height.

I would also recommend rotating more on an incline plane, your very armys.  Look at some of the 5-key videos posted under the "Swing Thoughts", there some good stuff there. The last one would help you with your turn. When they put a stick in the guys belt loops. See how that stick points more towards the ground than the horizon. You got good hand eye coordination and your young, but when you get older you'll need a more technically sound swing to compete. If you stop the swing were your at the top of the swing, your shoulers should be pointing more towards the yellow golf balls. Try to feel like your head isnt' moving up and down, you rise up in the backswing.

Thanks for all the help.. Ill continue to put videos up.. And honestly I used to rise up and down like that when I was learning because right now I'm 5'7 and 2 years ago I was like 5 foot.., and I'm playing the same length clubs as I was 2 years ago... I was really small and was playing huge clubs haha... I am not extremely strong ethier so what my coach told me is that's a "childhood" Habit I needa break. Just a side story there However sometimes I struggle with a flat left wrist and the rolling In the start might be the cause! Thanks again guys

Yikes...slow...down. One minute you are making good scores, the next you are hooking irons but hitting woods OK, and then you are hooking irons and slicing woods.  What are you currently working on..posture or the back swing? Stick with it and do it correctly no matter the immediate results.  It sounds like you are trying to do everything all at once.  Just focus on one thing at a time.   Post a video of the difference between how you are slicing vs hooking.  Obviously you are doing something differently but nobody can figure it out if it is not posted as a video.

    • 46 (9 over) Short game and putts were awful!
    • 46+40 for an 86. I just need to play 9 holes on the range before each round. 🤣🤣🤣
    • I don’t measure my intake either. I generally have a black coffee, a bottle of soda, some sweet tea at home, and anything in between is water. An ice cold bottle of water is one of my favorite things. It feels like an immediate refresher for my body. I’ll admit that I need to drink a little more though.
    • For such a nice membership, there have been some bad incidents in the past few years.  We had someone voted out a couple of years ago over something he did and he harassed the board members for three months until he moved out of the area.   Generally they’ve tried to do things like tournament handicaps and identify certain people who they know should be lower and adjust it somehow.  I can understand not wanting to go thru something like the guy who was voted out again i emailed the pro who forwarded it to the handicap committee.  They are going to see what can be done.  I walked someone thru what happened and they are going to nudge him to post the score from the match and see what he does.  Since he didn’t put anything in the electronic scoring past 13, based on how he played 14 and 15 plus having to take bogey on 16-18 for after he left, he should post 83.  We’ll see if it’s even higher,   Since he was really even thru 13, then doubled 14 and parred 15 my guess is he really shot 75 being generous and giving him 2 pars and a bogey on the three holes he didn’t play.    i shot 88, getting 16 shots for my course handicap which is net even and I lost on 13.  We do brackets where handicaps should be within 4-5 of each other.  Most matches only have 1-2 shots as a difference between players  neither of us posted the score yet.  There was something in the match play rules about whether or not to post your score.  I couldn’t remember if we were supposed to or not.  I don’t think he was going to post that, because even with his inflated score it would be the lowest score in his recent 20. Lucky I didn’t because they want to see what he does post and they don’t want me posting so he can try to calibrate his score.
