Visit to South Africa

Hey

I’ve been down I South Africa for about two weeks now, last time I came down here I bought a set of old Maxfli  revolution clubs, midsize heads, dried out grips, true temper El-70 shafts regular flex. The shafts might be a little to weak, but that has helped me to focus more on getting the swing right then on swinging really fast.

At home I’ve been playing  titleist ap2’s with stiff-300 shafts.

I’ve always been hitting a slight fade at least with the “woods”  due to the fact that I’ve been coming over the top a bit, Don’t’ do that anymore due to the good advice I've gotten here,  I have some issues with stress on the course meaning that I’m causing myself to stress and rush through my routines.

I played two courses while down here Howick country club, and Sakaboole.

Started out on Sakaboole, a strange golf course, par 5 on par 5 long, the fairways wasn't in good shape.

Howick on the other hand was in good shape but the greens where hard and fast, I don't know how many times I Landed the ball well before the pin and saw it shoot of the green. I scored okay though, 81-78-81 so  I'm happy

On my last round there I was fortunate to play with a young man who's going to start playing on the sunshine tour in January and his caddy, that was exciting, however I got a bit caught up with trying to hit the ball as long as they did (silly of me) an lost a couple of strokes on that. I learned a lot about what I need to do to play better I need to Play my game.

Anyhow, the season in Sweden is just around the corner I’m really looking forward to it.

Love this game (most days)

A cold wet white blanket greeted me when I returned to Sweden.

When I left for South Africa the golf course at home (in Sweden) was dry, the sun was shining and spring was in full bloom (or at least on it’s way big-time). During my stay in S-A it looked very promising with temperatures as high as 57.2f, 14C, I was really looking forward to hitting the links and get my new season ON.

Landing in Stockholm, I was greeted by a cold wet white blanket, and the white stuff keeps on coming.

I know its barely the end of march and such weather is to be expected in this part of the world, but non the less it puts a dampener on the spirits, a cold wet white one.

Cheers

I love this game (most Days)

I was fortunate to play the course that Annika lives on last week. She flies the Swedish flag along with the American flag behind her house, so it's easy to pick out. Nice little place she's got too........

So the golf range opened today, here in Gävle Sweden, pretty remarkable since it was covered with snow only three days ago. Fortunately we’ve had three warmish days with wind and the snow vanished and the ground started to dry out. Went there with my golf buddy Ben and my son Vincent. Vincent turns 13 this year and have held a golf club in his hands maybe six times in his life, but he’s got a natural athletic swing, when I got him to understand how to line up towards the target he hit 230meter drives dead straight and there’s more to be found there. The thing he needs to work on is to let loose after the hit and follow through. Ben turns 71 this year but he’s still going strong hcp 10 at the moment but I expect that he’ll be back in single digits very soon. How did I do today? Well the back fence at the driving range is 240m about 262 yards and I hit all my drives over it fades, draws and straight. I hit my spoon into the fence. I had a great day on the range ☺ I love this game (most days) A

Digestive enzymes especially those products * in the pancreas and small intestine break down our food into nutrients so that the body can absorb them * They are also produced in the salivary glands and stomach but we do not focus on these nucific bio x4  If we do not have enough digestive enzymes cannot break down our food which means that even if youre eating well were not absorbing all that good nutrition has to offer .   http://www.prohealthguides.com/nucific-bio-x4/
    • My Swing (PumaAttack)
When you post a video showing your progress only to get ripped apart for other parts of your swing that are not a priority it makes you want to never post again.   I'm very disappointed in the behavior of a lot of the instructors on here.   lets review the timeline.  First I posted a video of me working on my shallowing swing.  I never stated it was perfect.  I get a response saying my backswing is wrong. I follow up asking why it matters if I hit other positions correctly. i get told "because" I follow up asking why it matters if my backswing is off if my downswing hits key checkpoints. I get told I am not hitting the spots.  I ask why not stating my angles are where my coach outlined them to be. I get shown my angles are wrong.  I counter stating they are still shallow and match that of pros.   I get told angles don't matter. (Even though I was wrong before because my angles were off.) This goes ignored and I get told my backswing is wrong. I detail my Evolvr coach doesn't have my backswing as a priority because he liked my positions at A4 and 5.  These get ignored.  I point out my friend has the same shallow to slightly steep and is told his swing is perfect and his Evolr coach says no changes are needed in his swing.  It's great as is.  I follow up why his shallow to steep is fine and mine isn't.  These comments get ignored.    Yet I am the one with the ego problem...
    • Your best golfing bargain
I have one that I think maybe could top them all . . . I got a year membership with full golf privileges at a private club in exchange for an old sofa that I put on Craigslist and didn't even think would sell. I got an email - "Is the sofa still available - would you consider trade for golf membership" - totally out of the blue.    edit-  the guy had recently won it in a raffle of some sort.
