Here is a test I did. Old: Did 5 min stretches ( see lists above) Hit 20 -30 balls, Putt for 5-7 min. New: Full regime: Light workout ,(get heart rate up for 5 min.) 10-15 min stretches ( esp Lars, ribs, man strings, hip flexor a, hamstrings, then hamstrings.) Easy wedges, 75% swings, then full swings with wedge, 8 iron , driver and two clubs I am likely to use one holes #1 & 2. 2 putting drills for 6 minutes, then get my putting distances confirmed. Results: dropped 1.5 strokes off my index in a month. ( mostly from fewer dumb mistakes in first 3 holes due to stiff musculature .) Hit 'em straight.

Search this on YouTube - The Ultimate 5 Minute Golf Warm Up I found this over the winter and started using it this year. It's quick and gets everything loose. I like to get in 20 balls and some chips and putts as well when possible.

  4. Same club, same outstretched arms up and slowly bring the club down behind my back with both hands still on club....only do this 1x
  5. Lock knees and bend at the hips to touch fingers to toes....maybe 2-3x

Take clubs out of the trunk.

Grab the trunk, squat and stretch spine and sides.

Load clubs onto cart.

Check in at desk, get my free warm-up bucket of 30 balls; go to range.

Stretch shoulders

Take out orange whip and take some swings with it.

Take out PW & hit some 9-3 shots

Hit some full swings with PW @ 70%

Hit some full shots with 8i - see where my swing is today....

Hit a few drives - see where that is today....

Leave about 10 balls in the tray

Go to putting green and lag putt until called to the tee. (I allow 20 mins for this)

Thanks @tefunk I found this video. I like it because it is my hips that are stiff. What she calls gentle legs swing are not

what I call gentle.

Yea, she's obviously a little warmed up already when going through the routine (she's moving pretty quick) haha. Nonetheless, it's a pretty good, quick way to get loosened up. Glad you found it helpful too

Yes this young lady's routine was the best I have found. Most of the other golf warm ups involve getting on the ground/floor which I have never been to a golf

course that I could do this at.

    • Day 134 (26 Apr 24) - played Minnesott today, worked with the mid-irons and approaches (especially the 7i).  Scoring was a little higher, but I was focused on making the needed adjustments to the swing to achieve desired distances.
    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
