How is a wedge bounce effectived by a increase or decrease in loft? One degree loft for one degree of bounce?

I'd say not too bad. I have a hogan wedge I bent. It was a 54 and I changed it to a 52. I actually like the way it plays better than before. The more you bend it the more drastic the change. I wouldn't go more than 2-3 degrees.

It depends on the camber of the sole, the trailing edge, heel, and toe grinds, and a lot of other things.

You really shouldn't bend a club more than 2°, right, because beyond that you lose some strength and other things.

The wondering because I was looking a Titleist SM wedges and they don't have a 52 but will be coming out with a low and high bounce 54.

Just for the hell of it I bent an old, worn out Hogan 56 degree to 60. From there I grinded the sole until I found a suitable bounce. The club is still useless since the grooves on the face are gone. I also took a forged 300 series TM 6 iron and bent it to about 54. If I would have gone any further it would have snapped. I had that sole on the grinder forever but it was impossible.

It's always fun bending clubs.

If you are bending a wedge from 54 to 52, you will lose bounce.

I played with a 52 Vokey bent to 50 for a few years until Vokey came out with a stock 50. It played fine but it was time to replace it anyway.
