If your hands don't release fully. Do you result with a slight fade? I think I got my swing on plane and not as much over the top but still having the fade problem. Not sure how the release goes since I only looked into the backswing and downswing. Need some help on after impact.

Your hand release and the position of your hips after impact.

Your hands should go square to square in your swing. The back of your hand is square and facing out or in front of you and on your follow through the back of your hand should be facing the other directions or behind you.

The hips should finish square to the target, most players who fade, slice their hip are pointing just right of the target and that is usually where the ball slices towards.

I'm not sure if it's the same for you but the reason I would always fade or slice the ball was my spine angle was too upright at address. After some suggestions I started to bend down more and I would say 80%-90% of my drives go straight now. I don't even have to focus on doing anything with my hands like before. All I have to do is focus on hitting through the ball and the rest is automatic. I will get a tiny fade once in a while but I'll usually still end up on the fairway. The best thing I would recomend is to take a video of you hitting the ball and post it on swingacademy.com. They're the ones who helped me change my swing.

Good luck!

most golf swings have both a vertical and horizontal release except for the mike austin swing which does not have a horizontal or wrist roll in the swing.

They will beat their swords into golf clubs and their spears into putters. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Old Tom Morris 2:4

Not releasing will cause a fade/slice. I have the same problem. When I get tense and don't release with my driver/woods I slice. I really have to focus on the release and rolling my wrists over.
