I became interested in Kevin Na during Q-school and followed him all last year. He made over a million as a tour rookie, but seemsto have disappeared.

Does any one know of him or what's happened to him?

He finished 67th on the money list last year, is exempt this year, but has not played yet:

Thanks, that part was easy enough to find. I have been watching for some news of what he might be doing. Being that he's from L.A. I expected him to turn up for the West Coast swing.

He came off as a really likeable kid in the interviews I've seen and even with his talent, he was so in awe of the veterans and felt humility at just being there with them. I can't imagine him just dropping out at such a young age after working so hard on his dream of playing the tour. I really hope it's not health or an accident.

I hope he swings it around. I know he was in an accident or something at the end of last year. Everyone was okay, but it was him, his mom, and dad I think. Car wreck.

His accident was actually pretty early last year. I think end of jan. or beginning of feb. The accident was the week before the FBR Open where he played and finised second to Phil.

He played almost 30 tournaments on the pga tour after that so I don't think were any injuries from that accident at least none that seemed to affect him late last year.

He has committed to playing in the FBR open again this year so maybe this is the week we'll get to see him.

Kevin Na, yeah. I've been looking for him for my ESPN team. A couple kids from my course use the same swing coach, but, I haven't seen them around lately either. Koreans are dissapearing in the LA area?!!?

    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
