I went out to the grassy field yesterday and practice chipping with my wedge I found a few simple swing tips that help me hit shot solid and make the click sound of a well struck ball.

1) rear shoulder lower made my backswing more compact and I was able to hit half shot solid with a click sound
2) pick up the immediately with a one piece take away

I played today and shot 2 over got up and down 8 out of 11 attempts. I can't wait to go out next time and see how the new swing holds up. The swing felt great and I was more confident with my irons, hybrid, fairway woods and driver.

I hit 11 of 14 fairways
8 greens on regulation
26 putts
got up and down 70% or 8 out of 11 attempts.
4 boogie and 2 birdies

I feel if you can't hit your wedge solid with the click sound everytime, practicing with other irons is a waste of time. Once you hit your wedge solid you can practice up and test the swing with other clubs in your bag all the way up to your driver.

It's not a waste of time. You can easily swing and hit perfect with the wedge, but once you get a longer clubs in your hands, it's easy to swing harder and longer. Trying to use the wedge swing for every club is a good idea, but not too easy to be consistent with. On the range, you can try hitting every second ball with a wedge to get the rhythm and tempo.

my theory is that once you are consistenly make solid contact with your wedge you can test the swing out with your other irons. What I do is warm up with my wedge and groove my wedge with solid contacts and then go out and play 18 holes.

      I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.

      Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
