I have been playing Nike slingshot 4dss and hit them great. I recently got a set of mp57s and hit them solid. However, almost every shot with every iron goes left with a slight draw. They have DG s300 shafts in them, could this be part of the problem? Could a different shaft help or is it my swing. I've never had this happen before.

I suggest you get your lie angles checked before worrying about your shafts or swing. If your new irons are too flat for your swing, it will cause you to go left more. If you find that it's not the lie angles, then it could be the change in weight distribution from the Slingshots to the MPs. Good luck! --LBB

Yes. Different shaft, different swing weight, different lie angles, and different offsets will affect the shot pattern. New irons take some getting used to. Even the address picture can be a bit strange for a while, causing clubhead alignment problems.

Don't give up on the DG s300. It's a time proven, mid trajectory shaft you will love once you get used to it. Too many people pass it off because it is a bit heavy compared to today's whippy ultralight shafts. In my experience, the dg s300 is a very nice blend of distance and control.

When I started hitting the new irons the other day I was getting a very strong draw-> hook on shots. I figured out that with my old crappy irons, I was overcompensating because I could not hit them well and was slicing. Now i can move the ball back into a proper location and hit them straight. I imagine it's similar for you where you just have to adjust a bit for the new angles/lengths.

Too much upright of a lie angle is what causes the ball to go left. Have your lie angles checked. It is not the shafts. Shafts can not cause your ball to start offline.
