Question on my spin with driver

Ok, so here is the deal:

I went to Golfsmith to look at getting a new driver. I have a Titliest 905 T 9.5 degree/loft. My reason for looking for a new driver is that I hit it a little too high sometimes. When I pulled out a 8.5 degree of the same club I began hitting on the launch monitor. The guy instantly pointed out my spin which was in the mid 5,000's! Like I have noticed that I can sometimes just bomb some shots, but I am usually around 240-250 with my driver. Probably around once or twice a round I get one out there near 280-290. He told me that the problem was that I was hitting down on the ball, which I can see would be possible because that is how I hit everything else. My question is how do I create a more sweeping swing. The guy told me that I should be able to add a lot of carry just by sweeping through the ball. Any help is appreciated.

Here are the tips I've seen and used:
1) Play ball off left instep. For some this is farther forward than they currently do.
2) Feet shoulder width apart. For some this is a wider stance than they currently do.
3) Tilt shoulders at address for upswing. For other shots your shoulders are level.

Thank you, I already do both 1 and 2, but would number 3 mean having my left shoulder up higher than my right? I am right handed by the way.
