I just recently bought a pair of shoes.

Wondering how many of you guys clean them after each round.
If so, do you remove each spike and clean them thoroughly? Or do you just run a brush?

Slowly building my set.

I just recently bought a pair of shoes.

I just bang them on the sidewalk to get the turf out but don't really clean mine since I'm still using my old Adidas. I imagine I would be taking better care of my FJ's.

Bought some Dryjoys. Should I be using a spike remover and cleaning them thoroughly? Or is a brush okay?

after every round I scrub with a wet brush, clean out the spikes, and wipe down the leather with a wet wash cloth. I have tour 360 LTDs and all white nikes. Somewhat anal with keeping my kicks clean (must be from all of the Jordans, Pennys, and retro nikes I have). But you know what they say, look good feel good...

I wish there was a choice in the poll for "When my wife yells at me." If I leave crusty saddle shoes by the door, I am going to hear about it.

My local course has an air hose at the cart return area that you could use to blow all the cr@p off of the bottom of your shoes. It works great and I think all golf courses should have them. Besides that I always wipe them down with a towel after every round. I don't like to bang them together or againts the concrete because the spikes always break off.

removing your spikes and cleaning them after every round is a pretty tedious task. Since dryjoys usually have Softspikes pre-installed, take a toothpick and dig out the grass that collects around each spike. and don't hesitate to install new spikes, since the older your spike, the harder it is to remove.

I bang them together if the bottoms are filled with grass. But other than that, I don't really clean them.

I never really clean my shoes and never have. If they get really muddy I'll wipe them off but not really clean them. Wiping down occasionally and cleaning grass/mud from spikes is the extent of what I do.

Its mostly a 'Whenever I feel like it' kind of thing. I have two different types of golf shoes that I switch on and off wearing- Nike black shoes, and some white, black, and brown shoes. I never clean the black shoes because I can't see any dirt on them , but I do clean the white, black, and brown shoes about once a month. I wipe the white parts down with some clorox disinfecting wipes.

I change the spikes about two times a year at the most. Thats all I ever need to do with my shoes.
