The other day I decided to order the following set from Costco, http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...rodid=11377846 .

It says for the Driver:
Black Ice Pro Driver: 460cc Black Ice Pro high M.O.I. Beta titanium 10.5 driver gives you power and control off the tee, designed to optimize swing speed and distance.

But looking at the driver it almost looks and feels like its stainless steel, is there a way to confirm its Titanium? And even so if its really beta titanium?

If I check Orlimar's website it just says: "Versatile club set including a forged driver, stainless fairway wood, hybrid and cavity-backed irons, putter with a polymer face insert, premium bag and head covers. All graphite woods"

On a side note, I've pretty knew to golfing, and I figured this was a relatively nice set for the price, anyone have experience with Orlimar, it came down to this or the Wilson Profile Power set (which was a bit more expensive)

I dont know about Orlimars sets but I had an older 3 and 5 wood from orlimar i used to play. I wish I hadnt got rid of them cus they were great. Most starter sets seem to be the same to me though, very forgiving and a bargain. Good luck and welcome to the game.

I'm pretty sure they couldn't make a 460cc driver head with SS, it would be too heavy. Here is an interesting website that talks about the types of Ti used in golf clubs. http://www.golf-components.com/titanium.html

Orlimar is owned by King Parr now. Not the same stuff as it was when it was it's own company.
