are the 7.0's quite a bit stiffer than the 6.0's?? what exactly do the numbers mean??

i always assumed 5.0's were regular flex.. 5.5's in between reg and stiff, 6.0's stiff, and the 7.0's xtra stiff...(yeah i know one must never assume, ive just never played rifle shafts before and never did much research on them)

i ask because i finally found my dream irons and they have the 7.0 shafts in them... not sure if they'd be too stiff for me or not

Have your swing looked at by a pro and see what they think. I know most people range between 5.0 and 6.0 granted I'm sure a lot people also play 7.0 Downside is if you end up not being able to hit them your dream irons become very expensive irons once you replace the shafts.

What's your typical driver or 6iron swing speed? How quick is your transition? I just picked up a set of clubs with 5.5s, and they feel quite a bit stouter then the S300s in my other set...7.0s have to be some serious shafts.
