Ground conditions

I'm a member of the local country club. The deal is they never planted any grass in the fairway it's just pasture grass and the ground is hard as a rock! I hit the ball well at the range where the ground is soft, but my heavy cavity clubs and rock hard ground don't go together well. Any advice on hitting on this surface?

you should be hitting the ball first and then the ground so it shouldn't make that much off a difference.

My new track has much more firm faiways than I'm used to. Good grass, just much more firm.

Descending blow with all clubs except driver.

I tee my driver lower and get more roll out.

Some guys there even switched drivers to drop to less loft.

I mainly play 2 groups of muni's by me (3 at on, 5 at the other). The fairways differ and I notice I can take divots easily on some tracks, while others are a little less forgiving. I've learned to come in a little shallower on the hardpan fairways and only clip out the grass roots. The trajectory is different, the spin is different, but that's making adjustments to the track you play.
