So here's the thing, I will be leaving town in December, so probably, golf by January will be over for me, I guess I will be back to a 8-10 handicap, if I'm doing well. Lately, I think, because of this, I have been doing a mess with my game, my putting is definitely off and now my iron play is off and my driving, basically evreything is off and my handicap has been rising, I was hitting rounds around par or under par, now I'm not.

So, I will really like to play my best golf this last months, maybe this is also the last time I ask for your help. My irons are not properly fitted for me, I need a 2° upright but I will not invest or modify them right now, and it is not because of I don't want it, it is because around here we don't have the facilities to take our irons to a store and get them fixed. Some pros had told me that I have a very beautiful, smooth swing, but what I tell them is that good swing can also produce bad shots and I think this is my case, right now.

I need your help to go back in time, for waht, to adjust my swing to the clubs, how can I swing my club so that I can hit it correctly at the bottom? How can I make my swing flatter? Or I don't know what I need to do it. I will do anything.

Thank you very much!

Cheers!

I had some clubs that were 2 degrees upright. I loaned them out and they got damaged and I replaced them with a standard set. Very hard to adjust but I did it . .it took about a month or so and then they felt normal to me. My swing got very flat . . .I basically set up with the club face like I want it at impact .. and then try not to lift up out of that position.

I recently got new clubs that are 2 degrees upright again and am going through another adjustment period. Much easier to adjust to clubs that fit you vs clubs that dont . .but you can do it! Just give it 4-6 weeks.

I'm not as good a golfer as you - or even close to it - so maybe you can adjust even faster. But I do think it will take some time . . no way around that.

It is soooooo stupid to fit your natural swing to your clubs, they just fit or they don't. I wouldn't invest two months in adjusting myself to the clubs, move to a new location, have them fitted and have to learn the old swing again. If you are sure about the 2* upright, just google a nearby fitter and UPS the clubs to them, bent 2* upright and UPS them back to you, might take less than a week. Bending 8-10 irons, might cost as little as $50 orso.
