Diamana WB Flowerband vs. No Flowerband

I wanted to put this question out there to see if anyone might have a definite answer.  Is there a difference between a WB with the flowerband and one without?  I know on the FAQ portion of the Mitsubishi website it has a blurb:

The original prototypes for the Diamana Series had a flower band near the butt end of the shaft to represent a "Flower Lei" or "Hawaiian Crown of Royalty". When Blue Board was introduced to the global market the original Japan version kept the flower band while the U.S. version did not. Subsequent after-market versions of Diamana - Red Board and White Board, have the flower band on both the U.S. and Japan offerings.

However I have one that has all the proper markings but no flowerband.  I am currently looking at picking up another to put in my fairway woods.  I have noticed a difference in feel between the one that I put in my Octane Tour (no flowerband) and the one in my FT-9 (with a flowerband).  I prefer the one in the FT-9.  Just curious if anyone knows if there is a quality difference or what the deal is.  Any insight is appreciated.

No difference.  I would guess if you notice a difference that one may be tipped a little differently, I don't know what Callaway does when they install the I-Mix tip but they probably tip it and thats the difference you feel between the two.

Also the I-Mix shafts are .350" tip right?  I don't know what the Octane heads use but there could be slight differences in the shaft specs if it's .335" diameter.

I had a sort of similar issue a few years back I had an FT-5 with a V2 76G .350 tip and a buddy had a 907D2 with a V2 76G .335 tip and they felt very different.

You are probably correct about the tip, which why they feel so different.  Thanks!
