so have you guys seens callaways new razr blades, nice word play there but they are just the callaway prototype blades with new badging. Somehow they made the prototypes blades ugly, which was nearly impossible, haha. They changed the word prototype to "mucle back" and the callaway sign in the middle and put that razr crappy name on them. The only good thing they did here was keep the original design instead of creating something like the x forged Razr.

Are there any differences besides I'm assuming the new conforming grooves?

They did make them a bit uglier but they still look pretty good.  I loved the old ones....

I think they look awesome. They would look even better without that Razr symbol but then they would almost be the exact same thing as the previous gen prototypes.

Exactly.  Which is how they should look.  Can't think of a good reason for the change-the "RAZR" on the back = bleargh.

Just looking at the picture you can tell that they moved the weight in the back of the club.  The look is the same, but I am going to say these will probably be a little easier to hit then their previous prototype.  I prefer the look of the protos, but I think these are still pretty sexy. If I hadn't just bought the x-forged I would have given these a serious look.

The clubs still look nice. Nicer than most out there at least. Kind of seems weird to have such a "modern" name and font on a classic muscle back type of irons. As long as they hit as nice as the Prototypes, then whatever. I did think that saying that the Protos were limited was just a marketing gimmick, but I guess not?

I just hope I can get my hands on a set of these, or the Protos, in LH. Doubtful, though :-(

The latest issue of Golf Digest had them as their highest ranked iron I believe.  Very high marks

I have read that as well.  I am waiting on my issue of the 2011 Hot List...always my favorite issue of the year.

It always bugs me a little when the spelling is changed for marketing purposes. But that said they do look nice and very Callaway.

They have the RAZR X irons (non-forged CB) as their top-rated.  I don't think Golf Digest includes blades/musclebacks in The Hot List.

It seems like I'm one of the few who actually likes this design better than the previous one. It might be that I'm used to busy looking irons (just look at the cavity of my AP2s) but these look great.

You're not alone. Callaway is only a couple tweaks away from the irons they aped when they created the Protos. That'll be sweet.
