Hi, I'm new here.  I've done a lot of searching but haven't been able to find an answer here...

I am buying golf clubs soon and was looking into these to iron sets (the R9's and Tour Burners), but I cannot figure out the difference.  From all the reviews I've read, they both seem to be designed for the golfer who is on the more experienced side of still needing "game improvement" clubs, which is where I would put myself.

So what is the difference in performance?  What do they do different?  What is the difference in the type of golfer they are geared for?  Thanks for the help,

Jared

I had my choices regarding irons and drivers narrowed down to the TaylorMade Burner (Plus), Nike vR (Victory Red) and the R9, but since both the vR and R9 are more used as tour clubs, I figured the Burner would be a little more forgiving. But I guess that's all depending on your personal preference. My suggestion is head over to your local golf store and ask to hit with both, R9 and Burner irons, that way you'll be able to use them before you decide whatever you like better.

Hope that helped,

Brendon
