R9 irons vs. x-24s, which one would you choose and why?

So im looking to pick up one of the two and am having difficulty choosing.  Anyone have any recommendations or experience in which one is a better product because i believe they are pretty evenly matched.  thanks!!!

I bought a set of the R9, 4-PW w/DG X100 to my specs last August.  I can't comment on the X24's, so no comparison.  I can tell you that I've been very please with the R9's.  They are great looking irons, and the finish and badging holds up well to abuse.  I definitely don't coddle my stuff...The long irons are unbelievable.  They have an almost trampoline feel because of the foam between the cavity and face.  I just ordered a custom 3 iron bent strong to replace my old 5 wood.  Overall, the R9's are very long and forgiving.  The heads are oversized, of course, but are sort of in between a blade and a super game-improvement iron.  They have a slight camber from heel to toe, and because of this they play well out of the rough.  With the appropriate shaft, you'll love 'em.

Both clubs are holding their own in the continuing loft deflation wars.

• X24 Hot at least is honest about it: longest club offered is a 4i at 22 ° loft | in X20 set from 2007, 21 ° was the 3i.
• R9 also has a 4i at 22 ° , and a 3i at 20 ° - only 2 ° difference between the two.

With either club - X24 or R9 -  you can impress your friends with how long you can hit a 7i - unless they also have these clubs.

ive been leaning towards the r9s so we will see what my decision will be this weekend

I had R9's for 2 months. I finally sold them I couldn't stand them! The feel was terrible. It was like hitting rocks… Went with Adams CB2 forged instead, and never looked back. There's nothing like a nice set of forged irons!

chose R9 but, i'd pick the TP version better. I can't say i like callaway's clubs, except for maybe the fairways or prototype irons...i found that hitting the TP version of the R9 irons was just as long and was incredibly close to the non-TP except for the ability to work the ball, and topline. a close friend has the x-22's and i can't stand them...yes, forgiving but the offset too much for my blood and it does NOT like to be worked right to left. (x-24's are basically the same club) to each his own.

Yep, the R9's aren't going to match the feel of a forged club.  For a cast, game-improvement I think the feel is as good as can be.  To me, they stand out in all other areas.  Those Adams are sweeeeeeet, too.
