It seems like every winter I add a club I later am not sure I need. This year I added a Dymo2 11.5 driver with a senior shaft. At the driving range I can hit it well BUT on the course I overpower it and it fades badly to the right. Senior shaft could be the problem but right now I am thinnking the extra length of the Dymo shaft could be easier to fix. It is 1 to 1 1/2 inches longer than my Tour Edge driver and the length is not comfortable to me.  My plan is to shorten the shaft my an inch and see what happens.  Online searches have suggested many people find the shaft of the Dymo2 too long. I welcome any suggestions? What should I expect?  Thanks.

I'm pretty sure stock length on that one is 46". I'd say if you're more comfortable at 45", go for it. As far as flex goes, it's a tough call there since all flexes arent measured equal. Some shops have those frequency meters that can measure it though to see how the two shafts compare. What shaft is in your Tour Exotics?

Just don't tell my wife

Tour edge is regular shaft. I figured just shortening the shaft at the butt by an inch might work. Shortening at the tip probably would stiffen the shaft a bit but that would involve a bit more cost? I will probably ask my local shop which makes sense...cost wise. I really do not want to invest in a new shaft as my Tour Edge is still a strong driver. Like a said earlier... Dymo2 was a winter inspiration!
