I am upgrading my T-40 3 wood to the T-60, I have the T-60 5 wood and i hit it almost as far as my T-40. I now have the 15 degree version and was wondering how much different it is to use a 13 degree. I know that lower loft increases the chance for side spin and what not, but how much harder is it to get the ball up in the air. T-60's are relatively easy to hit, and I wanted a little more distance out of my 3 wood. Does anyone hear use a 13 degree? Used to have one? or just hit one on the range before?

I'm assuming you're asking about hitting your 3-wood (at 13°, c'mon now, it's a 2-wood folks! ) off the fairway. They're still pretty small-headed, so it's usually not too difficult. Just make sure you have the swing speed to get it airborne and with some good backspin or else you'll hit a low shot that doesn't go very far.

Try the club out. If you have no problems hitting your 15, the 13 won't be any different, I bet.

I use to play a Titlesit 975F 13.5* (Stong 3), switched to a 16.5* (Strong 4) to fill the gap between my wood and 2 iron. I hit the 13.5* very well, one of my favorite clubs but just hit it to far.

How far you hitting what you have? Is the new club going to help you score better? maybe you could spend the money on new wedges or putter.

Golf club lofts are going the way of women's dress sizes.

I'm pretty sure that some of the latest TM offerings have a 45* PW. Well of course you're a club longer with your new irons, your 9I is actually a mislabelled 8I.

My driver is a Ping G5 13.5*, but I also carry a regular 15* 3-wood.

I hit both about 290 when I nail it.

I just have a very low trajectory on all of my shots, which is why such a high loft in my driver. But it seems to work well for me.

To each his own.

    • I have a putting mat in my office. It's 9 feet long almost 4 feet wide. I've drawn a line down it in order to practice hitting my line and stuff. Works fine for what it is.  While I'm not a fan of lining up a line on my golfball for every putt. I think for practice sessions it can have a lot of value.  To me this product makes sense. This is the first time I've seen it. It showed up as an add on the right side of the TST webpage. What do you all think? PuttAIM Laser Training Aid Get ready to dominate the greens like never before. PuttAIM Golf is a golf putting aid that uses laser technology to help you improve your game. This device works to ensure your putts are aligned properly and on track...
    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.

    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
