help for a good pre shot routine.what do you think of this method.

My pre shot routine is very consistent in what I do. When I get those basics right I can strike the ball very very well and play to very low scores. However im very inconsistent, for some reason I dont get everything right with something very basic which would just be a tiny bit off which completely ruins everything. For example my shoulders mite aim a bit two much the right, which promotes a push or an in to out swing or an over the top swing to amend for it. Other times I mite even just stand a wee tiny bit too far away. Why is that? why do things like that happen to my game?Is it because I dont actually practice my routine although I do make it exact every time I hit a shot? When it is rite however I can feel it and know everything is perfect and often hit a good shot. However when one little thing is off my set up feels terrible and make a terrible shot and it can take a few weeks until I feel it back on again. How do I solve this? I found this link which describes one what do you think of it.http://www.golfswingcontrol.com/setuproutine.html Below is my routine what do you make of it? stand behind ball picture shot pick target feel shot etc. pick out a small target to aim over infront of the ball approach ball and aim clubface over target. grip the club align the rest of my body square to my clubface set ball position waggle look at target then swing.

I'm sure everyone's pre shot routine is different in some way. I just choose my club and take a few swings with it to remember what it feels like. Visualise my shot and pick my target. Put my backfoot in line with the ball and put the clubface behind it til I know I'm square to my target. Front foot goes forward, back foot goes back. One last look at the target to remember where it is, so when I swing I am thinking of that as my target and not the ball as my target.

I don't like to take long over my shots once I've stood over the ball, I feel like it promotes tension and uncertainty. One thing I can tell you though, is that if it feels wrong and horrible, step away, and redo. No point going through with a swing that you know isn't feeling right cos you'll pay for it.

I choose my club (doing all the math, the type of shot i want, ect)

I stand behind the ball and i hold my club in my right hand infront of me, i use this to get the starting line i want the ball to start out on. I also visualize the shot here to

I lower the club looking at the ground infront of the ball to pick a spot. I concentrate on that stop lining up myself.

I grip the club, and i then adjust myself to get the right set up. I then look out to were the ball will fly, not were it will land. I get in trouble looking at flags and it throws off my alignment. I try to look at were the ball will fly. This gets me from messing up my body alignment. As i do this i waggle a bit and i return the club and grip and rip.
