can my driver be fixed?

so here's the deal im at the range w/ my friend who doesn't golf, and i let him borrow my driver. one "swing" later and my driver is in two: he snapped the hosel right off from the shaft. so now i have a little shaft left in the head right above the hosel and i dont know if i can get it removed. anybody know if i can?

ya i was thinking it should be easy the only problem is that i dunno how they could pull the shaft out when it gets heated, cuz theres no shaft left above the hosel to pull on, i guess they could use a screw driver or something. this sucks tho...

They probably do something like machinists do when they have to get a broken bolt out of a tight spot.

Maybe they'll heat it and drill a large threaded bit into the remaining shaft and pull it out.

I would leave it to the pro's though, oh, and get a new friend.

I am sure the broken shaft can be pulled out by putting a towel around the club head and insert it into a vice, take the plastic flange off, heat the hosel with a propane torch, waving it back and forth not to burn it, take some vice grips and pull the broken shaft out. It should come out once it heats up enough to melt the epoxy.

Forget about the tools, just get a 21/64 drill bit and drill the hosel clean. That way the hosel is prepped and ready to go. Why bother saving one and a quarter inches of shaft?

I would not recomend messing with it if your friend is picking up the tab, take to golf galaxy or golf smith, and they can re-shaft your club.

Assuming the shaft is graphite, I'm with Gas_Can - just get a drill bit the same size as the internal measurement of your hosel and ream it out.

I did this a couple of years ago with a Taylor Made Burner 3-wood where the shaft literally tore as I was trying to remove it.

If its steel - either go for the Golfsmith tool or let a professional handle it.

      Is This Club Blatantly Sandbagging?

      A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club?       Interesting that Scottie is #10 on the all time money list and he's been on the PGAT for 4 years. Of course, purses are bigger now, but  neat to look at non-the-less.  The list of top 18 money winners in PGA Tour history has plenty of surprises This list is updated through the 2024 RBC Heritage. To add, Scottie won 4.5 million at the Players, Jack played 44 seasons and won a little of 5 million on course.

Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
