Hello, this is my first post on this site. I currently play Titleist 735cm's at the moment and something I realized is that I hit the 8, 9, and PW of the set better than the longer irons. I dont know if this is just because I somehow play blade irons better or what. I mean I like the look of the blade type irons at address and feel more confident in hitting them (im a mid handicapper, but thats mostly due to bad chipping, putting) so I wanna put that to the test and get a set of blade irons where all clubs are blades. I would still like to get something thats forgiving for a blade and works well for a mid handicapper. If anyone has any suggestions to older clubs that I could find used to help with this, I would appreciate it. I was thinking maybe Mizuno mp-32's or something along those lines. Thanks!

Most golfers will, and do, hit their 8,9 and PW better than anything else in their bag.  Does not matter what kind of clubs they are.  Many places, including ebay, have lots of single clubs for sale.  Maybe pick one up and try it out before spending dough on something you can't hit.  Go to a golf store and try some bladesout.

How are you able to see the CB of the 3-7 of the 735cm at address? Wide head?

I would think most pro shops/golf shops have blades hanging around for very little cash. Just buy one of those first.

You have misinterpreted what is happening in a pretty major way.

Your problem is that you can't hit blades, no that you can!

Most people can hit the midle of their short irons, which is why combo sets have a more MB, blade style in the 8, 9 and PW.

You need to get a more forgiving set, not one which is harder to hit.

If you got MP32s, you'd be able to hit the 8, 9 and PW, just like your current set and you'd struggle with the rest.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I'm with this. You hit short irons better because everyone hits short irons better.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

What would you suggest I try then? I mean I'm left handed so I can't easily go out and try whatever I want or even find that many on the internet that I can buy. I heard the Adams Cb2's might be good to try

I play Adams CB2 irons. They are tremendous clubs. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
