I'm not sure how I ended up playing with the following clubs but I haven't changed it for about 3 years.

Woods

1w,3w,5w,7w,9w,11w,13w,15w,

Hybrids

#7,#8,#9

Wedges

56,60

Yes I do play a 13 and a 15 wood as well as the short iron hybrids.I did not set out to eliminate all of my irons

except for the wedges it just kind of happened and I am very happy with my set. The high lofted fairway woods (11,13,15) are my favorite clubs to hit.

Does anyone else play with a lot of woods in their bag?

A few years ago I used to play with all irons.  I didn't even carry a driver.  For the past few years I carried a driver and the rest were iron.  i would experiment with hybrids but never hit them well.  I recently added a 3 wood to the bag and I hit it O.K. but I only use it about once a round.

What are the lofts of your woods and hybrids?  I haven't seen woods or hybrids that high ever.

I will have to answer that when I get home from work.I don't remember all of them and will have to look. There are a lot of people that don't know about these clubs and you won't find them at your local pro shop or Wal-mart.I build my own clubs and found them on different component sites. The good thing about components is that there is so many more clubs to choose from rather than the traditional set.Its been a lot of fun for me!!

If you don't mind when you post the lofts could you also post your distances for your clubs, wedges included?  Thanks

I played in a scramble the other day, and I think the guy that I played with has this exact set up.  I don't think I ever saw him swing a club that didn't have a huge backing on it.  Whether we were 250 out or 50 out.

I am about the exact opposite of you.  I have a Driver, no fairway woods, and 3-PW, 52*, 56*, 60*.  I haven't tried hybrids too much but I love irons, and really hate irons that have large cavity backs.

I play with up to a 9 wood right now.

I also have 11,13, and 15 woods that aren't in the bag right now.

I really want to be a better iron player and get the woods out of my bag.

I start to question myself on this, however.

If I hit a 13 wood (7 iron), 150-160 everytime, why even have a 7 iron?

I get a lot of crap from EVERYONE I have played with, even for having a 7 wood (my 190-200 club).

It's a constant internal battle.....

In the Puma Orange Formation Stand Bag:

Driver: TaylorMade RBZ (10.25)

Fairway Woods: Callaway Diablo Octane (3,5,7,9)

Irons: Mizuno JPX 800 Pro (6-PW)

Wedges: Mizuno JPX (50, 55, & 60)

Putter: Odyssey Versa #1

Ball: Titleist DT Solo

I play 1,3,5 woods 2 to 5 hybrid and 6 to SW GBGold irons. Works for me. I have a 7 wood part of a set not in the bag along with the other two short shaft 3,5 small head woods. They are almost hybrids (I have them for sale on ebay). And I have 3,4, and 5 long irons on standby as well. I hit the fiver pretty good, but it is out so I can stay at 14 clubs.

In my  bag:

Driver, Callaway Diablo Edge Tour 9.5 stiff

3, 5 woods: Callaway Diablo Edge Tour 15,18 degrees Stiff

2 hybrid: Callaway Diable Edge Tour 18 degrees R (out when the 5 wood is in)

3,6 hybrids: Callaway Diablo Edge 21 S and 30 degrees R

4,5 hybrids: Callaway Razr X HL 24 and 27 degrees Stiff

7-AW irons: Callaway Razr HL graphite R shafts

SW 54 Callaway X Series Jaws CC Slate Fujikura Graphite Stiff

Putter: Odessey White Ice 1 Blade Putter.

Ball...looking for any ball that hates water, sand, long grass, and getting lost in the woods.

I can't find any, so forced to use ones that seem to love all the above.
