First of all, do you post incomplete rounds? Second, I'm trying to figure out how to post my afternoon round today. I finished 7 and on the 8th tee box the storm rolled in. After 7, I had a 34 with a par 5 and par 3 to finish. Looking at the USGA rules, it says:
Post your score when you play at least 13 holes out of 18 holes or at least 7 out of 9 holes. On the holes you didn’t play, record a par plus any handicap strokes you would have received.
I'm not entirely sure what the handicap strokes are for those holes. If I'm looking at my scoring app correctly, there is one dot under the 8th handicap space and two dots under the 9th hole handicap space. Are those the handicap strokes I would have received? If so, I'm posting an 11 for the final two holes? I can post an incomplete scorecard if that's helpful.

I'm going from memory here because I think you'll find it quickly, but you're supposed to take your handicap score on the holes you don't complete and post a nine-hole round if you play 7 or more holes, and an 18-hole round if you play 13 or more (IIRC to both).

"Taking your handicap score" means if you get a stroke on that hole you take a bogey, two strokes you take a double, etc.

Yeah I believe that's correct based on what I found on the USGA website, I'm just not sure how to determine which holes I'm given strokes for. I was only playing the front 9 and the CR/slope is 32.6/118 if that matters.

Looks like you are a 23 handicap from the card, is that correct?  If so you get 1 stroke on every hole except handicap holes 1-5 where you get 2 strokes.

Looks like you would give yourself a bogey on 8 and a double bogey on 9.  Post a 45 for the front 9.

Regards,

John

Just to clarify the terminology: Your handicap index is 22.4, which translates to a 23.0 course handicap at that particular course.

I don't mean to hi-jack this thread but it looks like it is complete. I have a thread about a round with a hole that had temporary tees and NO adjusted CR/Slope. Par 5 played as a Par 3. The only option I see is to pretend I did not play that hole and take a Net Par. Is that accurate?
