I've lurked the site a bit and probably not the only one anxious for 2013. At 53, I've been playing since 1968. My parents were staff at Indiana University Northwest Campus, some of my first rounds were played for .75 cents for nine and 1.50 for 18. In the summer, Mom would just drop me off in the morning and I would be there all day, almost everyday. At 13 yrs old, I holed a double eagle, in the rain, during a county youth match at Gleason in Gary, IN. I can still remember the shot, a 4 wood from about 200. Saw it drop, didn't believe my eyes. I said nothing until my opponent looked in the hole. Decades later, the swing is as smooth as ever. I am playing at my high school weight, 11% body fat and have no major pain. My driver SS is between 101 and 107. My bag; classic Mizuno 33 blades, Mizuno MP-Tii quad grooved spinners, 52 and 56, Titleist 906f4's 18.5 and 15.5. And a 2011 Razor Hawk Tour 9.5 I love these clubs. I've been +2 to +8 last few times with temps in the 40's. My most recent bad tendency, is to hit the ball too high, losing yards on the drive only to 245-250. The courses around here are breathtaking. I have an indoor range and hit at least 200 balls before going to work, almost every day. Having a range at home is the best!! Since 2005, I have been following a diet and vigorous daily workout regimen. Running, trailing, swimming, rowing, biking, isometrics, weights. I just started working on the Titleist Performance Institute workout routine, as well as the digitalrunning.com routine to strengthen my legs. Stability and hip (turning) speed is a focus, and I hope to develop this area to improve for the upcoming season. Sorry for the long windedness! Have a great 2013 season.
