What are your thoughts about the banning of the long putter?

If it has been legal for this long I don't understand why it makes sense to ban it now.

IMHO I agree, why now after it has been used this long?

 

If you are going to make rules make them prior to not after the fact.

dont ban

 

Long putters are advertised only when a player performs well with one. This does give the idea that they allways perform well.

 

Nevertheless standard putters are more often on the money list and the best putters (stats) show pretty much short putter users.

 

I prefer short putters.

They should ban anchoring, not the putter.

 

Oh wait, they've proposed doing just that.
