I've been Playing Golf for: About 10 years very inconsistently.  3 months consistently

My current handicap index or average score is:  average score 95-100

My typical ball flight is: with my driver I miss right, with irons I miss equally right or left

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: slicing my driver

Thanks in advance for the tips guys!  Excited that I found this forum.  I would also like to ask: my driver is a calloway octane 10.5 regular flex.  The guy at the golf store told me this weekend that someone in their 20s with a somewhat fast swing speed should absolutely be playing a stiff flex driver.  Any thoughts on this? And how expensive is getting fitted for a driver?

Well, your swing doesn't look bad at all.  You're a tall athletic dude, once you get some lessons under your wing, you'll be on your way.

The vid angle. . . its a little skewed.  I think it would be easier to see if you had the camera more at chest level.  Nonetheless. . .you're tempo isn't bad.  You need to hold your follow thru on every shot.  Don't just whack ball after ball after ball.  Get into a pre-shot routine.  Try and teach yourself to do the same thing every time. . .I know this was for video purposes, but it will pay off if you slow down between shots and create a routine.

Other than that, its simply hard to see what else is going on?

Thanks! Does that look on par with my handicap?? I feel like I can soon be playing in the 80s this summer if I practice enough.

Good point about slowing down and holding my follow thru.  That video was actually taken at a group lesson at a driving range and the first thing he told me to work on was my follow thru.

The video angle probably wasn't good. I didn't want to ask anyone for help so I set up 2 tees in the ground to create a place for my phone haha

Exactly.

The towel drill--under you armpits.  Will give you a connected feel, will help with your flying elbows.

Ok thanks a lot guys! I am not looking into what the chicken wing thing is all about.  I have tried the towel under the armpit drill before and had some success with it. I have booked a lesson for next Wednesday which includes a video analysis. Very excited
