I was watching a video I took of my swing last night and realized just how flat my driver swing is.  I'm talking from a DTL angle, my hands don't get above my right shoulder (I'm a righty).  I've been hitting my driver really well lately, at least in my book, but I was wondering if I'm losing some distance because of this.  I've heard that getting your swing a little steeper gives you more leverage?  Anyone have any thoughts on this or had a similar problem???

I get pretty flat myself sometimes. A guy on here pointed out to me that my shoulder turn was the issue. Basically I don't have enough bend at the hips at address and my swing plane is way too flat. My shoulders turn around me more horizontally than vertically. Was going to hit the range yesterday to work on it but it poured rain so I haven't gotten to.

Kind like this. Want to look more like Tom on the right.

My swing is even shallower than that!  I'm going to go to the range this weekend and only work on feeling my hands get a little higher at the top of the backswing.  The swing thought that seems to work when I'm making practice swings at home is getting my hands as far away from my right ear as possible.  Guess I'll see how it goes ha!
