Hi all my name is Lee, i hope everyone had a good xmas and new year.

I stumbled across this site a couple of weeks ago when i was googling reviews of some of the Hank Haney videos that i have been watching.

I have been lurking and reading through the reviews and forums and was really impressed with the help discussions and info found here so decided to sign up and start to get involved :-D

I have been playing golf very part time for the last 2 years in my spare time as well as playing football at weekends. I was lucky last October to be invited to go to Palm Springs in CA to play golf for a week and have definitely caught the golf bug now and am becoming a bit obsessed lol. I have quit football now to give me more time to practice and play and am constantly watching videos and tips found here.

I have struggled with a slice for a while and would always use a soft half swing to keep it straighter. But after reading a couple of threads here about how to stop slicing and learn to draw the ball i am now using a full or nearly full swing and hitting the ball a lot straighter and about 250 yards :dance:

I have managed to reduce my handicap down to about a 22 and my aim for this year is to keep reducing it as low as i can.

      I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.

      Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
