Quote:

Eight of Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club's 18 holes are copies of famous holes from around the world. Augusta National, St. Andrews, Baltusrol, Muirfield, and Troon are represented in the Ocala, Fla., track designed by Ron Garl.

Three of the holes were created in honor of Augusta National's 12th, 13th, and 16th holes. Here's a look at Ocala's par-5 12th hole, which is a pretty spot-on recreation of the 13th at Augusta National, which ends the course's famed "Amen Corner":

It's not the real thing, but still pretty cool.

I dunno. Looks pretty weak. These courses almost never have anything close to the right amount of elevation changes.

Yeah, unless the designer took the care to reconstruct the real 13th's hanging lies or severe green undulations, this hole doesn't hold a candle to the original.

Well that would be lame, then, if all they did was copy the footprint or even just the basic layout of the holes. It would be cool if they can get the contours right, but that's probably asking too much.
